If there is entry, then the other party's own intention will be destroyed. In that case, if there is no cause for words and consciousnesses with different meanings, then it is meaningless to say that words and consciousnesses such as "a vase and one" become diverse. Even according to the view of the outsiders (Samkhya), even if there is no reason for other meanings, like the qualities white and red, etc., having numbers such as one, distinctions, and non-other, etc., the words that express them are not considered diverse, then the same will happen for all things. If the qualities white, etc., also have qualities of number, etc., as other meanings, then qualities and substances will be no different, because the characteristic of his own substance is considered to be the basis of qualities and actions, etc., or to be the cause of the combination of those. In that case, white, etc., also become substances, because they have become the basis of qualities of number, etc., and actions of falling downwards, etc. The intention of these outsiders (Samkhya) is that the substance composed of two atoms, etc., is a vase, etc., and that qualities, actions, and universals, etc., are connected and exist through the combination of conjunction. There are twenty-four qualities, namely: form, smell, taste, touch, number, measure six, each having distinction three, other and non-other consciousnesses, pleasure, pain, desire, hatred, effort, heavy, wet, smooth, and compounded, dharma and non-dharma sounds, etc. This is (the twenty-four qualities said by the Samkhya). Second, regarding the reason for the use of words such as number, etc., the necessity of saying that word, and the way of expressing it and examples. First, in our own system (Buddhism), the meaning of a cow and its number, etc., Although there is no other difference, the word consciousness becomes different through the distinction of other exclusion or contradiction that is not that number, etc., for example, the outsiders (Samkhya) themselves also say words such as "not this" and "not substance" like white. If it is not through that contradiction, but it is established in meaning that it is not that action and not that substance, then the establishment of having so many qualities, etc., will become contradictory. Second, if the things to be said are not different, then it is meaningless to say "the number of a cow" and "the white of a vase," if you ask. Through the words expressing the contradiction of that thing, like a vase, having number, etc., from having the dharma number, etc., that is different, so think.

That tenet is not without verbal meaning either, like the difference of the number one, etc., on top of a vase, it must be grasped. Because it cuts off other dharmas that are not it, and particularly understands the object of expression that is excluded, it is special. Third, the sound that expresses dharma and the possessor of dharma. The sound that expresses aggregates and the possessor of aggregates. By this, it is also advised to understand others. First, if one wants to know just any difference of that thing, that word does not abandon all the other differences that it has, that is, it is not taken as the object of expression and abandoned, sometimes like saying the possession of fingers, just as fingers and possession are said to be different dharmas, this is the sound that expresses dharma, because one wants to understand only the characteristic of possession on top of the base of the characteristic fingers, so it is only particularly excluded, thus eliminating all other differences. Also, for saying one object of expression, although there is no difference, because everything that exists on that characteristic base is abandoned or not abandoned, so it is said that fingers are possessed, this is known as the expression of the possessor of dharma, saying that fingers are possessed is just saying the characteristic base, for example, like saying a vase. Therefore, all the differences that exist on that characteristic base are not eliminated by that word, just as that characteristic base does not abandon all of that, the word also does not abandon it. Therefore, since the characteristic base and the characteristic are established in dependence, therefore, if it is said as showing no otherness, it becomes the characteristic base, if it is said as showing difference, it is only saying that characteristic that depends on that characteristic base, thereby, abandoning all other differences that depend on its own characteristic base, it does not abandon all the differences that its own characteristic depends on, but it is only to be examined in relation to the dharma and the possessor of dharma in the occasion. Therefore, for one thing, the sounds that express dharma and the possessor of dharma in that way, those signs that understand that meaning are artificial, and there is no establishment of the meaning becoming other. Second, if a lump of eight particles is named a vase, then the differences in the abilities of the aggregate of the vase, such as form, etc., or the individual production of eye consciousness, etc., are abandoned, that is, not taken as the object of expression, the form, etc., that the aggregate has are the same, that is, the common function or result is to hold water.
