Relying on that, may the blessings of your heart enter my heart, may blessings and attainments be supreme among all. May I be primordially inseparable from Mañjuśrī himself. Written by Jampal Dorje on the thirtieth day of the second month of the Fire Monkey year. Maṅgalaṃ! A Concise Essence of Mind. The meaning of the innate rigpa-emptiness, the Great Seal: When you see it through the guru's instructions on the path, what need is there to bring forth clear radiance, spontaneously present? When primordial emptiness descends, there is no need for clinging to emptiness. When the nature of reality dawns on its own, unmade, effortlessly, without grasping, abide in the state of space. The attachment to fabricated views and meditations vanishes on its own. Jampal is this; do not seek elsewhere. Also on the thirtieth day of the second month of the Fire Monkey year. These three, the great, middling, and small essences of mind, are for the fortunate ones who seek the secret of rigpa. Like gold in stone, they are the essential instructions of the path. Inscribe them in your heart. By Jampal Dorje. Maṅgalaṃ! The Essence of Mind. Namo Guru Mañjuśrīye! This innate awareness, vast and unmade, cannot be expressed in words; each one knows it for themselves. When the guru's blessings enter, realization dawns effortlessly. When you see this meaning, know how to maintain it without fabrication. Do not think, "Should I cultivate my mind?" Do not think of not cultivating it. Leave it naturally in its own place, and it will naturally become clear. Remaining in your own state is the best of yogic meditation. Meditating on that, in the unmade state of the innate, the various thoughts, neither beneficial nor harmful, are like clouds moving in the sky. The relaxed, blissful yoga, alala. The essential instructions are imparted to the son of my heart. Written by Jampal Dorje during a retreat session on the nineteenth day of the second month of the Fire Monkey year. Maṅgalaṃ! The Essential Instructions of Three Words. Namo Mañjuśrīye! Ordinary awareness is vast. It cannot be expressed in words; know it for yourself. If you fabricate and grasp, you will regress. The essence of mind is called rigpa. Without being bound by the fetters of conceptual thought, without losing the innate state, without effort, striving, or intentional grasping, that is called meditation and cultivation. From the state of space, like clouds, all kinds of conceptual thoughts and waves, without benefit or harm, are blissful. That is called self-liberation. These essential instructions of three words are realized by those with inner experience. The garrulous debater does not know the direction. Mi

Written by Gyalwa Rinpoche. On the tenth day of the Fire Monkey month. The instruction on severing the hardened shell of the mind, called "Opening the Gate to the Vast City of Sky." Homage to Guru Manjushri! Whatever happiness or suffering arises depends on the mind. If one is held as a child, one regrets its death. If one is held as an enemy, one rejoices at its death. On things themselves, there is no inherent happiness or suffering. Those attached to the body protect the body, While those not attached to it even give it away. Those with little patience for self and others Are frightened by thorns. Unattached, wise ones are not afraid of the fires of Avici. Therefore, everything depends on the mind, And the mind follows the habitual conceptual activity. Following that, various perceptions arise, And various waves of happiness and suffering constantly churn. Proudly clinging to "I" and attached to "mine," Engaging in various actions out of desire for selflessness. Some strive in offerings, recitations, meditations, readings, etc. All strive to attain happiness. But that happiness is experienced in this life, And the means and desires for it are especially important. Even a single desire for the sake of the next life and the happiness of liberation is rare. The gateway to whatever happiness is experienced in this life Is the body, this body is an impure wheel, A city of pus and disease destroyed by old age, Quickly decaying like dew on a blade of grass. After the appearance of youth transforms in an instant, Old age advances step by step, becoming more painful day by day, The power of the senses wanes, hair turns white, teeth fall out. What use are sense pleasures for something like vomit? In the degenerate age, life is short, obstacles are many, and things are unpleasant. Death is also uncertain when it will come, And even if one lives to the end of life, it is short. What is accomplished by making this life the main thing? Alas, at the time of death, this body also Is abandoned, wandering to an unknown place. If one does not see the slightest possibility of returning, What benefit are friends, relatives, and wealth in this life? Those who make this life the main thing and seek happiness Are tormented by intense regret at the time of old age and death. Their actions are fruitless, and they carry the heavy burden of sin and suffering, Going to the place of the lower realms. For the sake of clinging to this life as permanent and desiring self-happiness, Accumulating wealth, gathering relatives, subduing enemies, reciting mantras, etc., Those who diligently engage in various activities Are the most serious of mistakes within mistakes. Whoever is born
