the ground, and then the ten Bodhisattva grounds from the second Joy, etc., to Good Intelligence, the Dharma Cloud Buddha ground, the All-Illuminating Perfectly Complete Enlightenment Buddha ground, the light of All-Illuminating Spreading is the emanation ground of the Blessed One Vajrasattva, the light of All-Illuminating Obtaining is the ground of the Enjoyment Body, the Inexpressible Immeasurable Light is the ground of Great Bliss. All of these are from the distinctions of joy, on the ground they are universally established. It is said. Like this and so on, regarding the number of grounds, whether many or few, the ways of speaking are different, but in meaning the key is the same. In other tantras also, many different names of grounds are spoken of, and it should be known that the intent of the meaning is in no way contradictory. Here, the twelve grounds are spoken of as the nature of the twelve links of dependent origination, with the sequence of the cessation of the twelve moving winds, they are spoken of as the twelve samadhi grounds, and it should be known that in that way, the fruit ground of the cessation of all the moving winds together with their habitual tendencies also has such distinctions. Therefore, the spoke positions of the direction of the wisdom wheel are the first ground, called the All-Illuminating Sun Great Mandala Adorned Ground, inside, when the bow-shaped time is joined, the life force flowing in the left channel ceases, and it is combined with the cessation of aging and death from the twelve links of dependent origination. The spokes of the wisdom wheel that are separated from the direction are the nearby positions, inside, when the sinful time is joined, the life force flowing in the right channel ceases, and the cessation of the origination of dependent origination is the second ground, called the Nectar Light Great Moon Clear Ground. Similarly, for the wheel of the ground, etc., with the fields, etc., the time of sequential joining, and the cessation of the self of each link of dependent origination, starting from the light of space, etc., to the spokes of the wheel of space that are separated from the direction, in the nearby drinking cut, with the time of Capricorn joining and the cessation of ignorance, the twelfth ground is the wisdom of realizing the self-nature of each, combined up to the ground that perfects the completion of wisdom. Thus, having understood the definitive and interpretable meanings of the places, etc., from the meaning spoken of in the tantra section, even in the freedom of worldly convention, the deities of mantra reside in the places, etc.

It is said in the root tantra by the Blessed One, like this: Kāmarūpa is known as Jāla. Pūrṇagiri is similarly situated. Oḍiyāṇa becomes the fourth. Śī, Ṣṛ, Kbu, and Slī are the main ones there. From this and so on, it is said in the explanation of the verses up to "the first of the places, etc.": Kāmarūpa, which means "form of desire," is said to be in the east of India, south of Nyal, where the river Lohita flows directly south and north. Jāla is known as Jālanadhara, which means "holding the net." Some say it is near the city of Nāgakoṭi in the land of Kashmir. Some say it is between India and Kashmir, northwest of Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya), the place where fire blazes on the stone. Pūrṇagiri, which means "full mountain," is said to be north of Uḍḍiyāna. Oḍiyāṇa, which means "flying away," is known as the land of Uḍḍiyāna due to a phonetic corruption, and it is the fourth branch of the place. Thus, the abbreviation of their names, Kā, Jā, Pū, and O, are called the places. In these four places, Śī Vajramā, Ṣṛ Vajramā, Kpu Vajramā, and Slī Vajramā are the main ones, because they have power over them. Similarly, Godāvarī, the bestower of supreme blessings, is said to be in the south of India, about two and a half months away from Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya), on one side of the southern Mount Shri, where there is a siddha-water. Rāmeśvara, the lord of joy, is said to be on the island of Lanka. Devīkoṭa, the fortress of the goddess, is in the eastern part of Varendra, in a place known as the beautiful city, the fortress of the goddess, marked by a stone dharma-origin resembling an eye. Mālava, the garlanded one, is said to be in the west of India. Thus, in these four nearby places, Go, Rā, De, and Mā, it is said that Slī, Pū, Ṣṛ, and Śī are the main ones. Arbuda is said to be the city of stone-laying. Some say it is in the south of India. Muṃmunī is said to be on the coast of the southern Indian Ocean. Some say it is in the east of India. Otri is said to be in the south, the land of King Ten Chariots. Kāraṇyapāṭakaṃ is said to be north-west of the royal palace, on the south bank of the Ganges, the Dharma King Mya.
