And the four kinds of equanimity, similarly, the four doors of liberation are: emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, and non-fabrication. Again, definitely the four legs of magical power are: the leg of magical power of aspiration, and similarly diligence, mind, and the leg of magical power of investigation. These are called the legs of magical power because they are the cause of establishing single-pointedness of mind by relying on the eight activities that abandon the five faults, and thus accomplishing samadhi, and gaining mastery over magical power. Aspiration and diligence are the respectful practice and constant practice of diligence in entering samadhi. Single-pointedness of mind is the nature of samadhi, and investigation is the wisdom that accomplishes it in this way. The types of outflows of afflictions of sentient beings are four: looking outward, all afflictions other than ignorance and views in the continuum of beings in the desire realm are outflows of desire; looking inward, those in the continuum of the two upper realms are outflows of existence; the outflow of ignorance of the three realms; and wrong views such as the view of self and the view of extremes are outflows of views. Through these, one flows in samsara, and those are pure. The four fearlessnesses of the Buddha are: fearlessness in knowing all phenomena, fearlessness in teaching all phenomena, fearlessness in entering the unobstructed path, fearlessness in abiding in the wisdom of the exhaustion of outflows. The first of these is fearlessness in promising the perfection of realization, the fourth is the perfection of abandonment, teaching the Dharma is teaching the path, and entering the unobstructed path is fearlessness in teaching the obstacles of the path. Thus, the four fearlessnesses, and "the truths" refer to the four truths: the truth of suffering, the truth of origin, the truth of cessation, and the truth of the path. Similarly, the four reliances are: one should rely on the meaning, one should not rely on the words; one should rely on wisdom, one should not rely on consciousness; one should rely on the definitive meaning, one should not rely on the interpretable meaning; one should rely on the Dharma, one should not rely on the individual. Again, similarly, the four mindfulnesses are: mindfulness of the body.

Pa. Similarly, feeling, mind, and dharma are the close placements of mindfulness. Similarly, the four right abandonments are: generating the intention to not generate unarisen evils, etc.; generating the root of virtue as an antidote to arisen evils; correctly generating unarisen roots of virtue; and completely dedicating arisen roots of virtue to Buddhahood itself. The four objects of gathering are giving, sweet speech, beneficial conduct, and concordant action. Here, the great meaning above that meaning, where there is no other greater meaning, is the supreme unchangeable, that is, concordant action and beneficial conduct. The giving of dharma is the supreme of giving, that is, the giving of dharma is: all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, all conditioned phenomena are suffering, all dharmas are without self, and nirvana is peace, that is, whichever of the four types of dharma summaries or outlines is spoken, all aggregates of dharma will be spoken. The yogi should meditate on the ends of the four with the vajras of the lord of victors. It is said that the completely pure body, speech, mind, and wisdom of the lord of victors, as well as the emanation, dharma, complete enjoyment, and nature body, should be meditated on for the sake of the meaning of supreme accomplishment, and for the sake of worldly accomplishment, the form of the deity should be meditated on. Similarly, one should be skilled in all categories of dharma of the number four. The five superknowledges of the Bodhisattvas are: the divine eye, the divine ear, knowing the minds of others, remembering previous abodes, and going in the sky with various magical powers, which is the magical power of the sky. Thus, the five superknowledges, as well as the five powers of faith, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom, and the inverted views of sentient beings are: the view of the aggregates, grasping the aggregates of one's own continuum as self; the view of grasping to the extremes of permanence and annihilation; wrong views on the cause and effect of the four truths and three jewels, etc.; grasping bad views as supreme; grasping distorted discipline and asceticism as supreme, these five, and the most supreme victorious one's.
