With loving-kindness, the mother prays that by this path, may all sentient beings attain great bliss and equality at all times until the ultimate end of the future. Thus, having obtained the precious human body with leisure and opportunity, having met a virtuous spiritual friend who shows the path to liberation and omniscience, and especially in this degenerate age, in this short life, when encountering such a rare and profound path that accomplishes the supreme and extraordinary accomplishment of the unsurpassed Great Seal, one must contemplate the impermanence of life and the fears of samsara, and without being distracted by the trivial matters of this momentary life, one must strive with great diligence on such an excellent path. In the first chapter of the Great Commentary, it is said: "Whoever with love, constantly strives for the benefit of others, the path of those virtuous disciples arises from the kindness of the noble guru. This excellent and precious path, if given to the negligent, other sentient beings, then residing in houses and monasteries, will be robbed by evil thieves. Doubts, regrets, and sleep, as well as the thieves of laziness and agitation, also in the midst of dense relatives, rob this excellent and precious path. Taking life, not giving, another's wife, lying, harsh words, and discord, frivolous words, greed, and harmful thoughts, the thieves of evil views, as well as sinful and near-sinful acts, killing, hatred, and manifest attachment, these five kinds of thieves constantly rob the jewel. Many delicious foods and drinks, and the thieves of many enjoyments, even if endowed with diligence, will rob the negligent and those who have fainted. Without fully examining oneself, whether it is an object of great value, to know, show it to the deceitful, his words will abandon the jewel. Those who know the good jewel, let them fully understand the jewel, their pure words will let oneself know the jewel. Fully enlightened Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as fathers and mothers, daughters and sisters, sons and brothers.
