Various shapes such as hands and so on. Giving to those places of origin means: for those that resemble animal shapes, give its place of origin, that is, what it resembles, give the flesh of that; for those that resemble fruits, give the powder of the fruit that resembles that; for conch shells and so on, give the powder of conch shells and so on. Give the powder and the powder of those stones together with ghee and honey and salt etc. Make a ball, and with a machine that separates iron, until the iron is separated, burn with a fierce fire. Then quench again with ghee, put it in a stone trough, and give the components of salt and transforming agents, refine until it becomes completely clean. After it has been cleaned in that way, the place of origin of iron is auspicious, sharp iron or copper and gold are mixed together, that itself is twice as clean, mixed with mercury, and burned by the alchemist. That too, first burn until the thorns appear or the one with a face turns outward and becomes faceless. Then burn iron and other things. Similarly, pyrite and copper and gold or tuttha soaked copper, copper and gold or mumien turquoise skin copper and gold or rabbit-containing silver and copper or gold are burned together. Here, just as the stones of the field separate iron, first pyrite and so on and stainless and so on are refined, and then the work of alchemy is done as shown before, otherwise not refining will cause the substance to be damaged. Then the half-gold formula is: alchemists first tell of the means of livelihood that only becomes without affliction. Here, the true face of burning changes, young or young mercury applied to a copper sheet becomes half gold. There is also a measure for this, one part of copper etc. leaves, one third of two parts of gold. Here, first copper is made into leaves, that is, bee wings, and then with alkaline salt and coarse salt etc. until

It should be beaten until it becomes like ghee. Then wash it with water to remove the salt and dry it. Then, add sixteen parts of alkali salt, plus acidic substances such as Bijapura (Sanskrit), knead them together, and cook them in a crucible. Like this, repeatedly add alkali salt and cook it seven or eight times, so that it becomes like brick powder, slightly greenish. Then make balls from honey, ghee, and salt, and place them in iron or other utensils as before. In this way, a substance that has had half of its impurities removed can be obtained. Again, make it into flakes, add one part of red lead, put it in a crucible, and kill it by burning it with intense fire. After that, add eight parts of mercury again, as well as twice the amount of mercury in green vitriol, and red lead as a mercury adjuvant, and knead it with acidic substances in pottery. Smoker again with fire, and knead again with acidic substances, do this for seven days. Pour it into a round container made by a potter that is the color of pottery. Seal the mouth of the container with the potter's clay. Apply clay to the outside of the container, about the thickness of a coconut shell. Therefore, do not apply more coating to larger containers than before, and then dry them in the sun. Apply cow dung on it again, dry it, and then cook it in a crucible. In this way, the copper powder will enter or entangle, the mercury will be bound, and the copper will also become intact, because they are completely combined with each other. Then add a quarter part of silver, and twice the amount of silver in copper, until all the ingredients become uniform, and calcine in a closed crucible. After cooling, remove it from the container, add a quarter part of silver again, and twice the amount of silver in copper, and calcine as before. After cooling, remove it from the container, and it becomes gold that is half gold, and becomes very pure through two calcinations. Then, another method is described: add two or three times the amount of gold to the mercury and copper powder that have died, and melt it in the fire. Then it is a quarter part.

After mixing a portion of mercury, pour it into the holes of a brick, sprinkle camphor powder on top, and then burn it slightly with charcoal on top. After it cools, sprinkle camphor equal to the mixture again and burn it eight times. Then the mercury will adhere to the gold and will not come off. Then add gold seeds equal to the portion of silver, and then add copper equal to the mercury, and burn them together in a closed crucible. After cooling, take out the container, make the lump that is burned as the raw material of gold into a flake, and apply the powder mixed with gold, copper, and mercury, which has been burned eight times, on the flake. In order to make it fuse, apply sumac resin and the juice of globular leaves on the copper. Then put it under the stove fire, put a finger-thick layer of soil on top, light a fire, and burn it with the fire of household cooking for three days. Then take it out, add seeds equal to the portion again, and take it out. At that time, the copper-gold mixed flake will turn into gold foil, and it will become gold that is more than half pure gold. This is what the First Buddha said, and other more extensive content is not written. This is what is said in the commentary. Then, for those who are engaged in the work of longevity and youth, the ritual of taking the essence of mercury is explained. Here, the bound mineral, that is, the thing that eats mercury, at that time, first perform the ritual of purifying the container for seven days. That is, wash the stomach with water boiled with three fruits in equal amounts. Then, with medicine, that is, the powder of refined iron killed by Guti, mix it thoroughly with ghee and honey, etc., or mix it with the same amount of previously dead mercury, and eat a small amount each day. At that time, drink the milk of newly born cows, eat rice made from old rice, with less leaves and sour taste, without salt, and eat food free from fish, meat, and grain oil, etc., for half a month.
