With poisons, etc. Soaked in castor oil etc., it becomes soft. Wash with cow and human urine, soaked seven times and dried. Mix with the ashes of water trees and the ashes of wood चित्रक (Sanskrit Devanagari: चित्रक, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: citraka, Chinese literal meaning: चित्रक) etc., and all the transforming agents such as नावासार (Sanskrit Devanagari: नावासार, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: nāvāsāra, Chinese literal meaning: नावासार), and salts such as rock salt, and again with the near tastes such as alum. Put the stone calamus in a closed container, place it underground, and repeatedly heat it with fire, stirring and drying it again a hundred times. Similarly, mixed with hundreds and thousands of times of conch powder, and also mixed with alum, stir and dry it. In order to melt all metals, the viḍa excrement to be described below, in a proportion of one-eighth of mercury, can melt eight times its mercury. If it does not melt, then fumigate with the smoke of a spinning wheel for eight nights. Do this until the molten iron remains in the essence of the mercury, that is, in the center. If the molten mercury is boiled vigorously on a coal fire and does not tremble, it will become pure. When melted with copper, it becomes very powerful, able to penetrate all iron. If one iron is melted, then the sun, that is, copper, after being well refined, is called "the possessor of the rabbit," which makes the mercury very red, and its body can transform all iron into gold. This mercury, which pervades all iron and transforms it into gold, when poured into a large amount of copper ash, dead black lead, calamine, and beeswax, will seep into gold or silver. Therefore, if someone refines mercury daily with the mercury process to be described below, after twelve years or other times, the mercury will "die," that is, become clear, certain, real, heavy, and hard, and be completely free from all the defects of mercury. This mercury, made without defects, can eliminate the diseases and death of the supreme body of a yogi, and can become gold.

If an alchemist uses it to transmute gold, it will take away all the suffering of poverty. Then, in order to protect the seven spirits, one should perform the offering of Jambhala. Here, a golden lotus of half a cubit (about 30 cm) and one span (about 20 cm) high, with eight jewel petals, should have a pure diamond bound with gold in the center of the heart. To the east, blue Isvara; to the south, a red lotus; to the west, a yellow karṇikāra; to the north, a moon crystal; to the fire, sharp iron; to the absence of truth, copper; to the wind, gold; to the powerful one, silver. Thus, among the gods, Yama, and the wealth-givers, pure indranīla lotus, red lotus, and crystal. To the west, a precious karṇikāra, and to the seizer of fire and asuras, sharp iron and silver. On the petals of the wind, gold and a seat born from golden thorns are at the heart. It is said, "On the diamond in the heart, place a seat born from yellow thorns bound with gold." On the seat in the heart, place Jambhala born of gold, that is, made of gold, with one face and two arms, the left holding a mongoose and the right in the gesture of granting boons. The height of the crest is four fingers. On the eight petals are eight goddesses, yakṣiṇīs, born of gold or born of silver, the left holding a lotus and the right in the gesture of granting boons. Here, if Jambhala is made of silver, then the yakṣiṇīs should be made of gold, and if Jambhala is made of gold, then the yakṣiṇīs should be made of silver. Similarly, when the seat of Jambhala and his retinue is a golden lotus, then the water-offering vessel should be made of silver, and if the lotus is silver, then the water-offering vessel should be made of gold. The crest of Jambhala is Ratnasambhava Buddha, with the hand granting boons on the right with a jewel, and the crests of the yakṣiṇīs are also the same Ratnasambhava. Their seed syllables are ha, etc., short and long, and on the petals of the four directions and the four intermediate directions, the eight letters are in order. In the heart, on the left thigh of Jambhala is the playful goddess Vasudhārā, her right hand embracing the father, and the father's left hand holding her breast. The commentary says the father
