My own nature, and the water of other emptiness or the nature of space, is the nature of three curved knives. Even if not drunk, merely touching the body causes death, this is the water of the touching curved knife; being struck by a shadow causes death, this is the shadow's curved knife; hearing a sound causes death, this is the sound's curved knife. Thus, because it cuts off practitioners, it is like a curved knife, therefore it is referred to by the name of a curved knife. The so-called hearing a sound, it seems should be explained as hearing the sound of flowing water. Then there are five poisons, namely yellow musk deer antler is the earth element, regarding this, some say, it is yellow Bong-nga, with a pungent taste, similar to red Bong-nga, shaped like musk deer antler, growing in the cracks of stone walls. The commonly known yellow Bong-nga is non-toxic, therefore it does not belong to the category of poisons. The so-called Shaktu-ka, refers to a white poison with large leaves and fruits resembling half a gourd, bulging outwards, which turns white when applied to a crow's feather. The so-called horned, refers to something that turns the color of blood when mixed with mercury and worn, and turns milk red when applied to a cow's horn. Black, refers to virulent black poison. The so-called stacked black, refers to an even more potent virulent poison. Generally speaking, the nine types of poison such as stacked black, are like different kinds of trees, each with its own name, as described in the root commentary of the Immortal Treasury. Among them, Shaktu, horned, and black are respectively the elements of water, fire, and wind. The so-called stacked black is the element of empty space. The other near poisons, refer to recognizing the five aspects, namely the Vajrapani Śrīkhaṇṭa tree is the earth element. Arka is the sun's tree, which is the water element. Dhatura is the nature of fire. Langali is the paper tree, which is the nature of wind. The Kara-vīra tree is the nature of emptiness. The so-called Kara-vīra, refers to the courageous tree, which exists in India and other places. Some say that Kara-vīra has two types, white and red, the white one resembling rust, which can kill a horse's mane. Furthermore, here there are also field stones on the ground, and the essence of life, that is, similar to the essence of various forms of living beings, similar to various shapes of fruits, and those similar to various shapes of sentient beings' heads and conches, are also the nature of the six elements.

Therefore, from those minerals, iron transforms into six forms. Some transform into gold, as well as silver, etc. Iron that arises from stone chalcanthite has four types. Iron that arises from yellow chalcanthite has the nature of earth; similarly, white is water, red is fire, and black is iron with the nature of wind. Similarly, the jewels located in the directions of the gods, such as the east, like indranīla (ཨིནྡྲ་ནཱི་ལ,梵文:इन्द्रनील,indranīla, meaning: Indra's sapphire), padmarāga (པདྨ་རཱ་ག,梵文:पद्मराग,padmarāga, meaning: lotus red), karaketa (ཀ་ར་ཀེ་ཏ,梵文:करकेत,karaketa, meaning: karaketa), moon crystal, etc., the iron that arises from melting them also has four types. Similarly, the iron that arises from lodestone also has four types. The iron that arises from the rotating lodestone, where the iron below rotates along with the lodestone, has the nature of wind. Similarly, the iron that joins iron, that is, the iron of the lodestone that adheres to iron, has the nature of earth. The iron that attracts iron, that is, the attracting lodestone that attracts by connecting multiple magnets, etc., has the nature of fire. The iron that melts iron and makes it dissolve into the lodestone itself, the dissolving lodestone, has the nature of water. The nature of those dissolving lodestones is diverse. Some are called Vajra Subduer, which can even dissolve diamonds. Some can dissolve chalcanthite, etc., just like melting iron with the juice of arura. Similarly, some minerals can dissolve gold, such as yellow chalcanthite iron, etc. Similarly, white chalcanthite iron can refine copper and mercury from silver and salt, thereby dissolving various irons. Those dissolving lodestones are said to be for the purpose of dissolving iron, etc., and should be combined with that, and iron should not be extracted or taken from them. Regarding this, mercury here transforms into two forms, accomplished and unaccomplished, the difference being whether that mercury can transform iron, etc., into other substances, or cannot transform them. That is to say, accomplished mercury can transform iron into gold, because naturally accomplished mercury naturally exists in veins underground, etc. Again, that accomplished mercury, if ingested, can also transform the body into an accomplished nature.
