It is like finding a priceless jewel in the crown of the gods with a small fragment, and like obtaining a daughter of the immortal divine race by giving the desire of a sacred prostitute who has been invited with offerings, and like obtaining musk by giving a piece of antelope skin. If a donkey carries a good breed of horse, and a goat obtains the supreme lord elephant, then why is it not better to obtain than to give when one finds something great from giving something small? Similarly, by giving one's wife, obtaining the great mudra dakini who resides in the lineage that gives birth to all the victors, and thereby obtaining unchanging coemergent bliss in all ways, why is this not the supreme attainment? Indeed, it is. The way in which secret giving becomes superior or inferior is explained: Giving only to those who are kind and helpful to oneself does not give the fruit of bliss, coemergence, and liberation. Only by giving equally to all sentient beings does the great benefit of coemergent bliss arise. Similarly, giving to a place with hope and expectation of a return is also not a completely pure giving. Yogis who possess wisdom are the supreme lineage of the victors, while ordinary sentient beings who do not know the profound path are by nature demons with obscurations. Therefore, with a compassionate heart for sentient beings and with faith and joy for the lineage of the victors, give to these two. For the benefit of other sentient beings, the Sugatas, that is, the Buddhas, if they give the supreme secret giving, then the field of sentient beings is inferior, being the object of compassion; and the yogis are the supreme field of qualities. Therefore, giving to the former accumulates a collection of merit, and giving to the latter not only accumulates merit but also perfects the collection of wisdom. In this way, both collections are perfected and will give the fruit of never-ending bliss. Thus, if one gives one's own wife to be used by another, performing secret giving, then a child who is not of one's own lineage will be born, causing the lineage to decline, and if the lineage declines, one will go to hell. The Vedas say, will such a fault not occur?

That will not happen. Those words that protect castes are deceptive words fabricated by self-willed Brahmins, and are not authentic teachings. In general, the distinctions between different castes are not absolute, as previously stated. For those who take caste as the standard and only value caste, alas, lord of men, the Vedas are the standard, because their source is the Vedas. For those who take the Vedas as the infallible standard of teachings, performing sacrifices on the earth is definitely the standard, because the Vedas show that sacrifice is the main cause of attaining heaven. For those individuals for whom sacrifice itself appears as the standard means of attaining heaven, the taking of life of many animals and people becomes the standard, because they consider sacrifices in which horses, people, and livestock are killed to be the best sacrifices. For those who consider speech that speaks of harming sentient beings as dharma to be the standard, accumulating the sin that causes the fear of hell becomes the standard, because the law of cause and effect never deceives. Just as it is thought that gods and the like are pleased by offerings and displeased if not offered to, similarly, it is always certain that any sentient being whatsoever will be happy if helped and unhappy if harmed. From the cause of benefiting others comes one's own happiness, and from the cause of harming others comes unhappiness, just like the seeds and fruits of rice and grains, which do not become confused, because dependent arising is infallible. Therefore, it is impossible for virtue to arise from harming sentient beings. If it were to happen, then it would be possible to attain heaven by displeasing the gods, which is impossible. Therefore, the Tathagata said in the sutra: "Though I have searched with my mind in all ten directions, I have never seen anyone more hateful than myself. Likewise, each person feels that others are as hateful as themselves. Therefore, those who love themselves should not harm others." Teachings like this, which are established by correct reasoning, become the standard, but teachings that say that the sacrifice of harming sentient beings will obtain the fruit of one's own happiness are in no way the standard, and should be known as such. Offering to the special objects of refuge, the Three Jewels, has great fruit, therefore it is said: On this earth, the place where the Sangha of the Buddhas abides is...
