Those burning vajras emanating from those vajra stones, green above, blue below, black in the east and southeast, red in the south and southwest, white in the north and northeast, and yellow burning in the west and northwest, one should contemplate them burning the hosts of demons dwelling in the ten directions. Outside of that burning of the hosts of demons, one should contemplate the wheel, with one spoke each above and below, and one spoke each in the four directions and four directionless corners, totaling ten spokes, with the hosts of wrathful deities such as Ushnishachakra dwelling in the directions and directionless places. In order to peg down the obstacles of the ten directions with the phurba, and for the purpose of protecting the place, one should contemplate such a protective wheel with mantras. Some do not want the wheel to have eight spokes, with gaps from the cushion method, and spokes above and below, but it seems to contradict the fact that the tantras and commentaries explicitly state that the wheel has ten spokes. In the center of the protective wheel, one should contemplate oneself as the wrathful lord Vajra Power, with twenty-four victorious hands plus two, totaling twenty-six hands, and with four faces called "Time". Then, possessing the certainty of the lama, that is, possessing the certainty of the words of the lama Buddha. Whatever practitioner desires to expand the deities such as wrathful deities on the protective wheel, or to condense them slightly, the practitioner should practice in that way. Furthermore, one should visualize a three-story building, two hundred cubits high, located on the mandala of the earth, with the nature of the purity of the three vajras. And one should contemplate the three surrounding fences outside of it. If one asks how large the earth is, then from the place where the dawn sunlight rises to the place of the shadow where the sun sets in the evening, the place where the sky and earth appear to be connected, circling around, is the protective fence. From the place of the earth upwards to the sky, there is a building of the nature of vajra. Furthermore, the building and fence arising from the four mandalas of the elements arising from wisdom etc. mixed into one, the three layers of black, red, and white, circling above and below and in all directions, at the boundary where heaven and earth appear to be connected, in order to protect the country.

One should contemplate the fifth surrounding wall that corresponds to the extent of the area, with spears below and a sharp net of arrows above. In the center, contemplate the solid vajra ground, reaching to the very end of the area's boundary. In the middle of the tiered building, contemplate a lotus or an eight-petaled lotus, or an eight-spoked wheel, which is the sun's measure, i.e., twelve cubits. Its center and the sun's seat, along with them, also become the measure of time, i.e., four cubits. Upon that seat, the yogi should contemplate himself, free from the stains of faults, as the Wrathful King Vajra Force, as previously described. The order of the ritual is as follows: In all directions of the land to be protected, here, first, begin with the three vajra mantras, Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om), Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah), Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum). Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om), Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah), Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum). So-and-so field protector and retinue, with this offering of torma, etc., blessed by the torma mantra. One should offer the torma to the land's owner, the field protectors. If a certain field protector's name is uncertain, then with the name of that land or village, if the number of letters is the same, such as two, four, six, etc., then take the first and last two letters; if the number of letters is different, such as three, five, seven, etc., then take the first, last, and middle three letters, and place them in the "so-and-so" position. If not done separately, then it is sufficient to say "the village's owner" or "the place's owner, the field protector." Having thus offered the torma to the land owner, request them to depart. After that, "with the four vajras" is mainly mentioned; in detail, with the vajras that have vajras arranged on all limbs, one must burn the assembly of obstructing spirits residing in all directions and non-directions. Having thus contemplated the Wrathful One Vajra Force, in its heart, on the sun disc, superimpose the letters Ha, Ya, Ra, Wa, La, etc., from which arise the Wrathful Ones such as the Uṣṇīṣacakravartin, emanating outwards from the doors of the ears, etc., which are the nature of the six elements such as wisdom, and arranging them in the various directions, etc. The methods are clearly explained in the sadhana, so for the sake of understanding, the explanations from the commentaries are not included here. The difference in the seats of these Wrathful Ones is that they are distinguished by the number of sun-feet, taste, time, hare, i.e., by eleven. One is the seat of Vajra Force. Time, i.e., the four, are the seats of Yamāntaka, etc. Taste, i.e., the six, is the seat of Uṣṇīṣacakravartin.
