The size is measured by the size of a barley grain. The meaning of the triple coil is being on the path of body, speech, and mind, that is, abiding on the path of the three channels, the wind merges into the dhūtī channel, symbolizing the purity of the thread. Others, such as one-twentieth of the door width, are not necessarily fixed in all cases. Furthermore, other tantras say that the thickness of the thread is one-twentieth of the door width, and the length is twice the mandala, while here it says that the thickness is like a barley grain and the length is eight cubits. Is this not contradictory? There is no contradiction. Here it is said that the common height of people is four cubits, so it mainly refers to the thread that is twice the height, eight cubits long. What is said in other tantras also refers to mandalas of one cubit, etc., which can be determined according to various similar mandalas, and it is not necessarily said that in all cases it must be one-twentieth of the mandala door width in thickness and twice the length. If that were the case, for a mandala of a thousand cubits, the door width of one-eighth of the wheel would be one hundred and twenty-five cubits, and one-twentieth of that would be six cubits with six fingers more. Then who could draw a mandala with such a thick thread (six cubits thick) and two thousand cubits long? That is impossible. Therefore, if you want to make a mandala of a thousand cubits, you must first draw the spoke lines of the central wheel, and then gradually extend it to the outside to complete it, rather than drawing all the lines at once like drawing small mandalas. This is the determination of the thread ritual. Next, the sitting postures of pacifying and other rituals are described. For pacifying and other activities, according to the classification of activities, the complete arrangement of sitting postures or seats in order is: in order, for pacifying, the right foot is placed on the left knee with the back of the foot facing up, in the lotus position; for increasing, the vajra posture or seat; for subjugating, a posture similar to turtles fighting, that is, the asura posture; for expelling and separating, squatting; for subjugating and summoning, there are two types of half-lotus position; for bewildering and stiffening, there are also two types with the anus between the legs. These are the eight sitting postures or seats that arise from the classification of the eight activities. Among them, the vajra

The posture of the venerable one is with the right leg on the left thigh and the left leg on the right thigh, with the soles of the feet directly facing upwards, which is the well-known Vajra posture. The posture of the Asura is as explained in detail above. Sadhuputra said that the body should be curled up like a turtle. The squatting posture is: with the two feet placed together, the ankles touching the base of the buttocks, and the two knees raised upwards, this is squatting. There are two types of half-lotus posture: during pacifying activities, the left leg is curled up like a lotus posture, and the right leg is like a squatting posture, with the toes slightly inclined to the right. During enchanting activities, it is the opposite, with the right leg like a lotus posture and the left leg like a squatting posture, slightly inclined to the left. During bewildering activities, the anus is placed on the ankle of the left foot, and the right leg is like a squatting posture. During subjugating activities, it is the opposite of the former, with the anus placed on the heel of the right foot, and the left leg is like a squatting posture. These are the determinations of the eight postures. Next, for the purpose of reciting mantras, the characteristics of rosaries are explained: for pacifying activities, use clear crystal rosaries; for increasing activities, use pearl rosaries; for destroying activities, use human bone rosaries; for expelling activities, use rosaries made of donkey teeth or bones; for magnetizing activities, use Bodhi seed rosaries; for attracting activities, use lotus or red sandalwood seed rosaries; for subjugating activities, use Rudraksha rosaries called "Lord's Eye"; and for bewildering activities, use gentian rosaries. As will be explained, depending on the blessings of Amitabha and other Sugata families, they will transform into their respective rosaries when reciting mantras. Next, the characteristics of offering flowers are explained: here, in pacifying and increasing activities, offer fragrant white flowers to the deities; in destroying, expelling, and separating activities, use the flowers of black thorny trees with spicy flavors; in magnetizing and attracting activities, use red flowers; and in bewildering and subjugating activities, offer yellow flowers. These are the determinations of offering flowers. Next, incense is discussed: for pacifying and increasing activities, use cooling incense, which means substances with cooling properties, agarwood and sandalwood, as well as camphor and other incenses mixed with honey and sugar, etc.
