The five trees, these trees are widely known in India. The so-called "Madhu Bṛkṣa" sweet tree is called grape vine by the Shongpas, but it is not a grape, but a tree with yellow flowers and a sweet taste, and it is said that there are many in Mahabodhi. In general, there seem to be many edible trees and sweet-tasting trees. For killing, use human bones, made into the shape of a little finger, the number is five hundred. For expulsion and separation, use the feathers of the crow's tail, the number is five hundred. For control, use the Yam tree that grows from Senglding; for attraction, use "Keṃśuka", that is, "ci ne tso", Lāśa tree with a red mark like a parrot's beak, which is the safflower tree. Therefore, these two trees are used for attraction and control. Similarly, catnip tree and the maddening Dhatura tree, the size is half a cubit (about 12 fingers wide), and the number is one hundred arrows. These are used for stiffness and bewilderment respectively. The number of half a cubit and one hundred arrows should also be applied to other situations. The size of the thickness is any size from the little finger to the thumb. Do not take more or less than this size, this is the rule of the Yam tree. Then the offerings for the fire sacrifice are described. Here, for pacification, the fire sacrifice is performed with cow's milk and Durva grass, and similarly, this and the following offerings should be understood in combination; for increase, use ghee; for killing, use blood; for expulsion and separation, use human fat; for control, use body sweat; for attraction, use Vajra's urine; for stiffness, use saliva; for bewilderment, use wine for burning. Use these liquid offerings to mix the materials to be burned. What should be mixed with what? For pacification, use Durva grass; for increase, use five kinds of grains, as mentioned in the case of vase offerings; for killing, use meat and poison together; similarly, for expulsion and separation, use mustard seeds, that is, mustard seeds and salt together; for control, use red Karavīra flowers, etc. Karavīra flowers are used in India and Nepal to kill horses and donkeys, and there are two types, white and red, of which the red one is. In Tibet, two Daphne (re lcags pa), black and white, are used instead, of which the red flowers of the black Daphne, this is the view of earlier scholars. For attraction, use the leaves of Bīlva or the seeds of its fruit; for stiffness, use old flowers offered to the gods

And the stiff rosary, and the golden flowers of delusion, that is, the flowers of the wooden datura, mixed with the previous liquid, just like that, things like pacification and so on are also like that. This is the definition of the burnt offering. Then there is the explanation of which direction the teacher's seat should be placed. For pacification, the Yama of the stove, that is, the south, should be like the seat is spread out. If the seat is set in the south, then face north. Everything else should be understood in this way. For increase, in the corner of truthlessness, and for killing, put a little water, and with it. For expulsion and separation, in the direction of the wind. For subjugation, give to Yaksha. For summoning, in the direction of the powerful or wrathful one. For delusion, give to Ishvara, that is, the east. For stiffness, to Agni. The seats of the teachers will become like this, alas, lord of men, in the activities of pacification and so on, at the time of performing the fire offering. Then there is the explanation of the colored powder ritual. Here, the colored powder will turn into one color for every two activities of pacification and so on. In the holes of the stove and in the center of the mandala, for the lotus of the main deity, the colored powder should be white for pacification and increase. For killing and expulsion, apply black. For subjugation and summoning, the sun, that is, red. For delusion and stiffness, apply yellow. For all activities, apply green, that is, together with the four colors of white, black, red, and yellow. It is said that the mixture of white and black becomes blue, and the mixture of red and yellow becomes gold, and the mixture of blue and gold like that becomes green, which is reasonable as said by Dharma Lord Buton. Some say to do all four colors, and some say that pacification and increase are applied separately with white and so on. Similarly, outside the holes of the stove and the mandala, by the classification of the Buddhas or the classification of the face of the Bhagavan main deity, in the gods and Yama, water and north, etc., the colored powder should also be applied in black, red, yellow, and white. The holes of the stove or the mandala, by the power of the lineage of the face of the main deity, the colors should also be applied in that way in the directions. This is the definition of applying colored powder. Similarly, according to the order that will be explained, performing the establishment of the stake and so on, performing the smoke offering torma and so on, from the five-pronged vajra at one's heart, emanate the wisdom fire deities, this is certain.
