The mere co-existence of the two appearances, unmixed like black and white threads intertwined, is not the dharmadhatu, for it does not transcend the realm of conceptualization and duality. Similarly, in the context of conventional truth, the phenomenon of appearance and its unestablished nature are distinguished as separate from each other from the perspective of their distinct characteristics, yet they are not different in essence, just as the heat of fire and the moisture of water are inseparable. If one does not understand that the very nature of what appears abides in emptiness, then, as stated in the Sutra Unraveling the Intent, there will be the four faults of clinging to the two truths as separate. Thus, at the time of realizing the indivisible equality of the true nature of reality, the two are not newly mixed like water and milk, but rather all phenomena are primordially the nature of non-duality, abiding as the nature of the dharmadhatu. However, due to being obscured by the delusion of dualistic appearance, one is unable to realize this non-duality because of the power of adventitious stains. It is through the power of the path of liberation, wisdom, and the path of skillful means, that the non-dual suchness is manifested. Therefore, in the realm of experience of yogic masters, all phenomena are realized as the nature of the dharmadhatu without wavering, and yet all phenomena are seen distinctly without being mixed. Although the various appearances with their characteristics are clear, they realize that the emptiness endowed with all supreme aspects, devoid of the signs of duality, is of one taste. This is the power of seeing the profound meaning of the Middle Way as it is, where appearance and emptiness arise as non-contradictory and of the same meaning. Therefore, in this context, the commentary states, "Here, things and non-things become mixed into one," which indicates the inseparability of the two truths. Furthermore, there is no nature of clinging to reality or dualistic signs in that state of inseparability of the two truths, and it is free from conceptual thoughts that grasp at substance. The emptiness endowed with all supreme aspects, similar to outstretched wings, is the dharmadhatu, which is the nature of phenomena. Therefore, it is devoid of momentary parts and characteristics, and by its own nature, it is without birth and cessation, as stated in the Root Wisdom: All that can be spoken ceases, And the sphere of mind ceases. Unborn and unceasing, Such is the nature of reality, nirvana.

As it is said, it is the same as (the past). In general, what is called Dharmata must be something that exists naturally without arising or ceasing, but it is easy for anyone to understand that things that arise and cease cannot be the Dharmata, that is, Suchness, of all things. However, regarding Dharmata, some think it is only emptiness among the two truths, and some think the two truths are inseparable. The former is only a gateway to enter the latter, not the ultimate Dharmata. If viewed from the former perspective, it is easy to understand that there is no momentary arising and ceasing; if viewed from the latter perspective, appearance is emptiness, awareness and Dharmadhatu, bliss and emptiness are union, then it is unreasonable for the part of awareness, bliss, and appearance to have no momentary arising and ceasing. Like awareness-wisdom, bliss, and the appearance of emptiness-form, in the various stages of the path, there is an increasing growth, which cannot be denied. If examined, it will be felt that it is impossible to exist in different stages. Therefore, before reaching the Buddha-ground, for the mind of the practitioner, in any case, the appearances are consistent, and it is undeniable that they appear in a gradual and arising-ceasing manner. But this does not mean that one part of the reality of the inseparability of the two truths is impermanent and one part is permanent. If there are two parts, permanent and impermanent, how can the two be inseparable? The part of skillful means, that is, the appearance of emptiness-form, and bliss and awareness, are no different from the part of emptiness-wisdom that is originally unborn, and become one. For the nature to be arising and ceasing, there is not even a particle, so it will not become a thing of arising and ceasing by its own nature. If it becomes a thing of arising and ceasing, then the emptiness that is inseparable from it will also become a thing of arising and ceasing. If it is said that it is not inseparable, then please tell me what kind of integration and union you are talking about, then, as mentioned before, the absence of integration and union will become obvious. If there is no union and inseparability, then no matter how accustomed to such emptiness, it will be of no benefit to abandoning the clinging to reality, eliminating the appearance of duality, and realizing all phenomena as the nature of Dharmadhatu. Then, because of the emptiness of no self-nature and the inseparability of essence, the Dharma
