If iron produced from aconite is not found, it is said that it can be replaced by soaking powdered black aconite in sour water. First, good gold is hammered to the thinness of a bee's wing, then it is burned and smelted, mixed with alum and sour substances, and crushed together in a stone mortar, so that the gold takes on a blue and red luster. Copper is also smelted in the same way as before, so that it takes on a red and white luster. In this way, the three metal elements are mixed in equal parts. They are poured into a container and sprinkled with the powder of pyrite, called "Makshika," which is counted as yellow pyrite. They are placed in an open crucible and blown with a strong charcoal fire, repeatedly melting them until the other substances are burned away and only gold remains. Thus, the purified gold is the seed of alchemy. The seed is half the amount of mercury, for example, two ounces of gold to four ounces of mercury. It should also be mixed in this way. It is smelted seven times. Pure mercury free from impurities is needed. First, it is washed for ten or seven days with brick powder, orpiment, cow urine alkali, salt, poison, alum, sour substances, and the urine of humans, horses, and cattle, and various medicines. This is the medical practice and key of mercury smelting and washing. In this way, the purified mercury is mixed with gold, the total amount being six ounces. Then, it is quenched with strong alkaline grass ash without butter, boiled with a strong fire, the impurities or sediment are filtered out with a cloth, and the water is discarded. Here, it is necessary to take the pure liquid, not mixed with sediment. Then, the pure liquid, that is, the moon-colored mercury ball mixed with gold, is boiled again in a magnetic container until the liquid is reduced to half.

This tonic medicine should be consumed every day in the morning at all times. Coarse foods and violent behaviors should be avoided, and it should be consumed within the time it takes to walk once, according to digestive capacity. After eating in this way, in six months it will transform into the body of a god. It will eliminate white hair and wrinkles, and this tonic will make one immortal. Therefore, this tonic should be consumed every day according to the aforementioned ritual, until the gold pill is completely exhausted. During the period of consuming the gold pill, betel nut should be prepared for consumption, and only the juice after removing the residue should be drunk. It is said that "ཏཱ་མ་བཱུ་ལ་" means "betel nut", but I wonder if it is "betel nut". During the period of consuming the gold pill, this ritual of drinking betel nut juice should be followed, and after that, it is no longer necessary to drink it. Other foods are also the same. This is the determination of the tonic. Then, in order to obtain food and other enjoyments, the formula containing half gold is described. The seed gold and king mercury mentioned earlier or above are the same, that is, the mixture. In addition, the three medicines to be described are injected into the mercury, about half the amount.
