The merit of the foot of the sun, the combination of valor, dust, and darkness, is surely wealth. These eight merits that are abandoned are the slow movements or actions of the five planets, such as auspiciousness, which become the feet. Thirty-six months multiplied by eight equals two hundred and eighty-eight. Half a month multiplied by eight equals one hundred and twenty days, divided by thirty, equals four. Mixed with the previous, it becomes the number of eye-holes-eye, which is two hundred and ninety-two, which is the hour of the former and latter feet of the palace.
