Thus, day and night, the differentiation of breaths of sentient beings inside, and the differentiation of the timing of external constellations, produce and travel through various different time scales. In this way, those times divided by the differentiation of timing are very clear or definitely located on the twelve positions of the sun in the directions of Mount Sumeru. Revolving in twelve regions, whichever house the sun enters, and due to the influence of the earth's wind currents, even within a single day, such differences in time occur and travel. Now, it is said how much area the sun determines due to the influence of the earth's wind currents. One hour of time, that is, the duration of three hundred and sixty breaths, is equivalent to six thousand yojanas, and two hundred and fifty yojanas, which is less than a thousand yojanas called 'foot'. The sun, which makes the day, travels clockwise in the sky, that is, the area of six thousand two hundred and fifty yojanas, can travel that far in one hour. This is due to the influence of the earth's movement, not the speed of the sun's own movement. The length of one day and night is sixty hours, multiplying the above length by sixty, that is, the range of three hundred and seventy-five million yojanas, travels and revolves in one day and night of both day and night. If we examine the part of the hour's travel in that length that corresponds to a breath, then one breath of time is equivalent to traveling seventeen yojanas, one krosa, eight hundred and eighty-eight bows. Also, taking the day when the sun travels to the southernmost point as an example, the sun aligns with the inner edge of the volcano of this continent, and also aligns with the edge of the horn of Mount Sumeru, which has no pleasant sound. The direct distance from the horn of Mount Sumeru to the inner edge of the southern volcano of this continent is one hundred and twenty-five thousand yojanas, which is multiplied by three times to become three hundred and seventy-five thousand yojanas, which is the circumference of one house of the earth, so no matter where the sun is located in the twelve houses, the length of its orbit is fixed.
