The names such as 'pa' and so forth encompass the great person who possesses the nature of the six elements, as the Bhagavan said: Earth and water, and likewise fire, wind and space elements, and consciousness, are said to be the sixth element, the great person. As it is said. If elaborated, there are thirty-six aggregates and elements: the six aggregates of form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, and wisdom; the six elements of earth, water, fire, wind, space, and wisdom; the six faculties of eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind; the six objects of form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and the realm of phenomena; the six action faculties of speech, hand, foot, buttock, genitals, and supreme faculty; and the actions of speaking, taking, going, excreting feces and urine, dripping urine, and moving semen. These are the six actions of karma. In the impure state with obscurations, there are thirty-six aggregates and elements. In the pure state free from obscurations, the six aggregates are the six Buddhas, the six elemental realms are the six mothers, the six faculties are the six bodhisattvas, the six objects are the six consorts, the six karmic powers are the six wrathful deities, and their six actions are the six wrathful mothers. If condensed into six elements, then form, earth, body, smell, the path of excrement, and speech or speaking are the six of the earth element, the lineage of Vairochana. Feeling, fire, eye, taste, hand, and going are the six of the fire element, the lineage of Ratnasambhava. Perception, water, tongue, form, foot, and taking are the six of the water element, the lineage of Amitabha. Formation, wind, nose, touch, speech, and dripping excrement are the six of the wind element, the lineage of Amoghasiddhi. Consciousness, space, ear, the realm of phenomena, bhaga, and moving semen are the six of the space element, the lineage of Akshobhya. The aggregate of wisdom, the element of wisdom, mind, sound, the supreme faculty, and dripping urine are the six of the wisdom element, the lineage of Vajrasattva. Generally, the consciousness that possesses subject and object, and its nature, self-nature, and luminosity are defined as wisdom, as is commonly stated in general treatises. Such wisdom's essence and self-nature are primordially pure, and therefore without obscurations, but because it is not realized as it is, it dwells within a temporary sheath of delusion.
