ང་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་བྱིན་ནས་དགེ་བཅུའི་ལམ་ལ་གནས་པར་བྱས་སོ། །ཕྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་སངས་རྒྱས་ནས། གཉན་ཡོད་དུ་བཞུགས་པ་ན། བྲམ་ཟེའི་བུ་བྲམ་ཟེའི་བསླབ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་མཁས་པར་གྱུར་པ་ཞིག་བྲམ་ཟེའི་ལུགས་ཀྱིས་ལོ་བཞི་བཅུ་རྩ་བརྒྱད་དུ་ཚངས་པར་སྤྱད་ནས། དེའི་འོག་ཏུ་ཆུང་མ་གཟུགས་བཟང་ཞིང་ལྟ་ན་སྡུག་པ་ཞིག་བླང་བ་དང་། ཆུང་མ་དེ་གཡེམ་ཞིང་སྐྱེས་པ་གཞན་འདོད་པས་བྲམ་ཟེ་རྒན་པོ་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་འདུག་པས་སྙིང་མ་ཚིམ་པར་སྐྱེས་པ་གཞན་དང་ཉལ་བར་འདོད་ནས་དེ་གཞན་དུ་འགྲོ་བའི་ཐབས་སུ་ནོར་བཙལ་བར་བསྐུལ་བ་ལྟར་དེ་ཡུལ་གཞན་དུ་སོང་སྟེ། ཀརྵ་པ་ཎ་མང་པོ་ཞིག་རྙེད་ནས་ཕྱིར་འོང་བའི་ལམ་དུ་མི་རྒོད་ཀྱིས་བཅོམ་པས་ཤིན་ཏུ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཞིང་ད་ཁྱིམ་དུ་སོང་ན་ཡང་བྲམ་ཟེ་མོ་དང་འཐབ་མོ་ ཆེན་མོ་འབྱུང་བས་ནགས་ཁུང་ཐིབ་པོར་ཤིང་ལ་བཏགས་ཏེ་འགགས་ནས་འཆི་བར་བྱའོ་སྙམ་དུ་དེ་ལྟར་བརྩམས་པ་ན། སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དེས་དགོངས་ཤིང་གཉན་ཡོད་ནས་ནགས་ཁུང་དེར་གཤེགས་ཏེ། བྲམ་ཟེ་གཟུ་ལུམ་མ་བྱེད་ཅིག །ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་ནོར་སྦྱིན་ནོ་ཞེས་གསུངས་ཞིང་གཏེར་བསྟན་ཏེ་འདི་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ནོར་ཡིན་གྱི་སྲོག་ཕངས་པ་མ་དོར་ཅིག་ཅེས་གསུངས་ནས་སླར་གཤེགས་སོ། །བྲམ་ཟེ་དེས་ནོར་ཁྱེར་ཞིང་རང་ཁྱིམ་དུ་སོང་ནས་འབྱོར་བ་རྒྱས་པར་བྱས་ཏེ་སྦྱིན་པའི་བསོད་ནམས་དག་བྱེད་པ་ལ་ཞུགས་སོ། །དེའི་ཕྱི་ཞིག་ན། དགེ་སྦྱོང་གཽ་ཏ་མ་ནི་བདག་ལ་ཕན་པ་བྱེད་པ་ཡིན་གྱི། བདག་ཁྱིམ་སྤངས་ནས་དེའི་ཐད་དུ་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་བར་བྱའོ་སྙམ་པས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ཏེ། ཆོས་ཉན་པས་རྒྱུན་ཞུགས་ཀྱི་འབྲས་བུ་མངོན་སུམ་བྱས་ནས་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་ཞིང་བརྩོན་པས་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཐོབ་པར་གྱུར་པ་ནི་སྔོན་གྱི་བྲམ་ཟེ་དེ་ཡིན་པར་གསུངས་སོ། ༈ །མི་བདག་བསོད་ནམས་མི་དམན་པར་གྱུར་པའི་ཚེ་དགྲ་ཟླ་ལ་མ་འཐབས་པར་ནགས་སུ་སོང་བའི་ཚེ། བྲམ་ཟེ་ཞིག་གི་གཉེན་རྣམས་བཙོན་དུ་བཟུང་བ་ཐར་བའི་ཕྱིར་དེས་ནོར་བསླངས་པ་ལ་ནོར་སྦྱིན་རྒྱུ་མེད་ནས་ང་རང་གི་མགོ་བོ་འདི་ཆོད་ལ་དགྲ་ཟླའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་བྱིན་ཅེས་སྨྲས་ཀྱང་། དེས་མ་བྲངས་ཞིང་། དེས་དེ་བཅིངས་ནས་དགྲ་ཟླར་ཕུལ་བས་བཙོན་བཏང་ཞིང་རང་ཉིད་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་ཐོབ་པ་གོང་དང་ཆ་འདྲ་བ་ཡོད་དོ། ༈ །ཡང་སྔོན་བསྐལ་པ་ཚད་མེད་འདས་པའི་དུས་ན། འཛམ་བུའི་གླིང་འདིར་ཡུལ་བཱ་རཱ་ཎ་སཱིར། རྒྱལ་པོ་བ་ལ་མ་དར་ཞེས་པ་དཔུང་བཞི་དང་ བཅས་ཏེ། ཚལ་གྱི་ནང་དུ་རྩེར་སོང་བ་ལས། རི་དྭགས་དང་འཕྲད་དེ་དེའི

赐予很多财富，安住于十善道。后来，世尊成佛后，住在给孤独园（Jetavana）。有一个婆罗门之子，精通所有婆罗门的学问，按照婆罗门的规矩，清净行持了四十八年。之后，娶了一个容貌姣好、惹人喜爱的妻子。那个妻子淫荡，贪恋其他男子，和老婆罗门住在一起，心里不满足，想要和其他男子睡觉，为了能去其他地方，就劝他去寻找财富。于是他去了其他地方，找到了很多迦尔沙波那（Karshapana），在回来的路上被强盗抢劫，非常痛苦。心想即使现在回家，也会和婆罗门妇发生很大的争吵，不如在茂密的森林里，把自己吊在树上吊死。当他这样打算的时候，佛陀世尊知道后，从给孤独园（Jetavana）来到那个森林里，说：婆罗门，不要做傻事！我会给你财富的。说完，就指示了一个宝藏，说：这是你的财富，不要舍弃宝贵的生命。说完就离开了。那个婆罗门拿着财富，回到自己家里，财富增多，就开始做布施的善事。在那之后的某一天，他想：沙门乔达摩（Gautama）是对我有益的，我应该舍弃家庭，在他那里出家。于是他向世尊顶礼，听闻佛法，证得了预流果，然后出家，精进修行，获得了阿罗汉果。佛陀说，他就是以前的那个婆罗门。༈ 当人主福德不浅薄的时候，没有和敌人战斗就去了森林的时候。一个婆罗门的亲属被囚禁，为了让他们获得解脱，他去乞讨财物，但是没有财物可以布施，就说：砍下我的头，献给敌对的国王吧。但是，敌对的国王没有答应。于是，他把那个人捆绑起来，献给了敌人，敌人释放了囚犯，而他自己获得了王位，和之前的故事有相似之处。༈ 又，很久以前，在不可计量的劫数之前，在这个赡部洲（Jambudvipa）的波罗奈斯（Varanasi）地方（今印度瓦拉纳西），有一个国王名叫巴拉玛达（Balamada），率领着四种军队，

Having given great wealth, he was established on the path of the ten virtues. Later, after the Blessed One became enlightened, while residing in Jeta Grove (Jetavana), there was a Brahmin's son who was skilled in all the Brahmin's teachings. According to the Brahmin's customs, he practiced celibacy for forty-eight years. After that, he took a wife who was beautiful and pleasing to the eye. That wife was promiscuous and desired other men. Living with the old Brahmin, her heart was not satisfied, and she desired to sleep with other men. As a way to go elsewhere, she urged him to seek wealth. So he went to another country and found many Karshapanas. On the way back, he was robbed by bandits, causing him great suffering. Thinking that even if he went home now, there would be a great quarrel with the Brahmin woman, he thought it better to hang himself from a tree in the dense forest. As he was about to do so, the Buddha, the Blessed One, perceived this and went from Jeta Grove (Jetavana) to that forest. He said, "Brahmin, do not act foolishly! I will give you wealth." He then pointed out a treasure, saying, "This is your wealth; do not abandon your precious life." Having said this, he departed. The Brahmin took the wealth and returned to his home, where his wealth increased, and he began to engage in meritorious deeds of generosity. Sometime after that, he thought, "The ascetic Gautama is beneficial to me; I should renounce my home and go forth to him." So he prostrated to the Blessed One, listened to the Dharma, realized the fruit of stream-entry, and then ordained. Through diligence, he attained the state of an Arhat. The Buddha said that he was the Brahmin from before. ༈ When a lord of men has no small amount of merit, when he goes to the forest without fighting enemies. When the relatives of a Brahmin were imprisoned, in order to free them, he begged for wealth, but having no wealth to give, he said, "Cut off my head and give it to the enemy king." But the enemy king did not accept. So he bound that person and offered him to the enemy, who released the prisoners, and he himself obtained the kingdom, similar to the previous story. ༈ Also, in the past, immeasurable eons ago, in this Jambudvipa, in the city of Varanasi (now Varanasi, India), there was a king named Balamada, with his fourfold army,
