Dreaming of licking the sky with his tongue and sitting on a lotus was a sign of sitting on a lion throne with great royal authority. Climbing to the top of a mountain was a sign of being above all. Being bowed to by many people was a sign that many ordinary people would honor him. Like this, judging from the dreams he had and the omens he saw, he thought that he would definitely become king. Then, the people who had come to search for the king summoned the people of the land, and when everyone had gathered, they took the implements for bestowing royal power and arrived at that garden, and seeing those god-like riches, they were amazed. The youthful Fortune-Power also saw those things, and then sat in the lotus position on that great divine lotus. Then, urged on by his merit, the Four Great Kings offered him a lion throne befitting a great person. Indra offered a white umbrella and a jeweled-handled yak-tail fan. The gods of the Thirty-Three displayed divine silk adorned with various jewels. The wind-givers and the gods dwelling in the sky rained down showers of various divine flowers. The gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings rained down showers of divine jewels and also sounded the sounds of divine music. Clothes were also scattered. The king's palace and its surroundings, including the garden and the forest, were all cleared of stones, gravel, and pebbles. In order for the youth Sonam Tob (福德力) to enjoy the various celestial sons, by the command of Indra, a divine palace made of four kinds of precious jewels, possessing various forms, was manifested in that garden. Then, those people were amazed and respectfully exerted themselves, without hesitation inviting the youth Sonam Tob to ascend the divine lion throne, and with great reverence, enthroned him with the wealth of kingship. Immediately after the enthronement, light emanated from the body of that youth, so much so that it eclipsed the light of the sun, and such light spread in a circumference of one yojana, so his name changed from before. He became known as King Nangje (光明国王). There, some knew him as King Sonam Tob. Some knew him as King Nangje. Then, King Sonam Tob, together with the wealth of gods and humans, went to the royal palace. Indra and the other gods also properly served that king and departed. King Sonam Tob also ruled in that royal palace. In that country, everywhere there was wealth, prosperity, happiness, good harvests, it was filled with people and many people, strife and fighting were pacified, disturbances, internal strife, thieves, disease, and famine were absent, and it was abundant with rice, sugarcane, cattle, and buffalo. He governed the entire country according to Dharma, as one would care for an only child. At that time, the trees of flowers and fruits flourished, and the gods also rained in due season, so the grains grew very well. Then, after a while, his elder brothers heard the news and were amazed. They said to each other: Sonam Tob has defeated us with these two things, the vow and the reason for obtaining power. Because he has achieved the power of kingship with great merit. Before we are harmed by him, let us all go and properly please him. Saying this, they went there and said to the king: May you be victorious! May you live long!
