I, if there is a fault, the king might confiscate these two children, or impose a punishment, so take these two children to be servants of my wife. Then, the Bodhisattva lovingly admonished the two children, saying, "Serve well as servants." Then, that Brahmin threatened the two children with harsh words, saying, "Now get out," and took them away. The two children, separated from their parents, with eyes full of tears, requested their father, saying, "Please let us stay here until mother returns." The Brahmin thought, "If the mother of these two children returns, she might regret it because of her love for the children and might not give them to me." So he tied the hands of the two children with whips and took them away. The two children clung to each other, looking at their father, as the Brahmin threatened and took them away. The daughter cried out, "Since when does a father beat his children so mercilessly? This is not a Brahmin, but a cannibal disguised as a Brahmin. How can father give us to someone who will eat us?" The young Net-bearer said, "The beating of the Brahmin is not so painful, but if we come back carrying the trees and fruits, what will mother do when she sees the empty place? Father, please find a way to ease mother's suffering, please greet mother with our message and prevent her from being sad. It will probably be difficult to see our parents' faces again in the future. Daughter Krishna (Sanskrit Devanagari: कृष्णा, Sanskrit Romanization: Kṛṣṇa, Chinese literal meaning: Black), come here, father has already given us as slaves, now we must go. We are still children, we have not done anything to please you, we have said those words, please forgive the mistakes of the children." The Bodhisattva, also out of compassion for the children, became confused, thinking, "My children are as precious as my heart, that shameless evil Brahmin beats them mercilessly, how can those very young children endure the work of slaves? If they are threatened by hunger and thirst, what place is there to beg? Although I firmly remember the Dharma, I think of the two children suffering so much." Even without asking his wife, he saw an ominous sign and thought, "She will come back quickly with roots and fruits." But because fierce beasts blocked the way, it took a long time to return to his own dwelling. Not seeing the two children in the place where they should be greeted and the place where they play, he was unhappy and thought, "Alas, have those two children fallen asleep after playing? Or in the forest..."

Were they washed away by the water? I Am I not pleased because I came back late? Are they hiding because they have become children? Could they have been washed away by the water? Or if they were killed, the birds would also make sounds. However, my heart is unhappy, I feel like my limbs are separated, I feel like the directions are confused, I feel like this forest has also lost its splendor and is swaying, and so on, these ominous signs have ripened on my body. May the prince and his sons be well! Then, putting the roots and fruits aside, he asked the family where the two children had gone. The mother, because of her love for her children, found it difficult to say unpleasant words immediately, and could not speak for a while. The mother was questioned, and she was so grieved that she could not speak. I thought that my two children had met with misfortune, and I searched everywhere in the forest, but they were nowhere to be seen, and my eyes were filled with tears. The two children are nowhere to be seen, and you are not speaking either, could they have been killed? After saying this, she fell to the ground and fainted. The Bodhisattva placed her on a grass mat and sprinkled cold water on her to revive her. The Bodhisattva said: Because I could not bear you, I did not immediately express my doubts. Do not grieve for the old and poor Brahmin who was given alms, do not only think of the children, look at me. If he begged, how could I not give even my life? Therefore, please rejoice in my giving! After that, the mother heard the news that the two children were still alive, and slightly lessened her sorrow, but she still hugged the tree stump that the two children had planted before and cried. Seeing the little deer that played with the children, she cried and spoke words of sorrow. Looking at the traces on the road, she felt that they were being dragged away quickly, that they were being beaten and taken away, and she spoke words of sorrow. At this time, the prince said that my two children were not given for the sake of fame and happiness in samsara, but were given for the sake of unsurpassed Bodhi. The queen also became firm in her heart because of this. In order to dispel the family's sorrow, she wiped away her tears and felt it was very miraculous. She did not get angry and asked him to continue giving alms in the future! I will not hinder you even if I give alms. At that time, the earth shook and the mountains trembled. Investigating the cause, it was to save all beings.
