You were a Brahmin girl named Sundarika. You were holding seven lotus flowers, and I had five silver coins, and I bought five lotus flowers from you and offered them to the Buddha. You also gave me the remaining two lotus flowers to offer to the Buddha, and you prayed that in future lives I would always be your husband. At that time, I said, 'If you are happy to be my wife, do not go against my wishes. If I am a giver, then even if I give away things other than my parents, I will give according to my wishes, and do not oppose it. If you make this vow, then let it be so.' One king has only this one daughter, and this wife is more important to me than water, because she is good at cooking and other housework, and her conduct is also very good, it is better for you to take her."
