Then, King Wheel-rim made a request to the Blessed One with his palms joined: From how Bodhisattvas hold pure Buddha-fields, to how to purify the minds of sentient beings, and to how to make sentient beings long-lived, he made extensive requests and reports. The Blessed One taught: Great King, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, by the power of their aspiration, hold Buddha-fields that are free from the five degenerations and completely pure, and also by the power of their aspiration, they hold impure fields as well. The King reported: Venerable Blessed One, after I enter the city, I will single-mindedly contemplate my aspiration, and I will dedicate these virtuous deeds to the Buddha-field that I love, which is free from the five degenerations. The Blessed One taught: Great King, know that the time for that has come. Then, King Wheel-rim prostrated to the Buddha and his retinue, longing to return to his own residence, and contemplated the qualities and adornments of the Buddha-field. After that, the Brahmin Ocean-dust said to the eldest prince Unblinking Eyes: Generate the mind of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and dedicate the merits you have accumulated to it. The prince said: Khenpo, I will also enter my own residence, and in a solitary place, I will contemplate the qualities and adornments of the Buddha-field. If I generate the mind for the sake of enlightenment, I will go to the Blessed One again and completely dedicate the mind to enlightenment. Having said this, he departed and contemplated the qualities and adornments of the Buddha-field. After that, the Brahmin Ocean-dust, starting from the second prince, summoned each of the thousand princes in succession, arranged them as before, and caused them to uphold perfect enlightenment. Eighty-four thousand kings of regions, as well as nine hundred million other sentient beings and two million sentient beings, all did the same, and all returned to their own residences, contemplating the aspiration for the qualities and adornments of the Buddha-field. Having placed so many sentient beings in the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and for the sake of honoring the Buddha and his retinue with all necessities for seven years, I invited them. If I can fulfill my wish for unsurpassed enlightenment with this, and if this aspiration can also be fulfilled, then I think I should properly include gods, asuras, gandharvas, yakshas, rakshasas, and kumbhandas in this great sacrifice. Then, as soon as that Brahmin wanted to see King Vaishravana, Vaishravana, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of yakshas, came before that Brahmin and said: Brahmin, what do you want from me? The Brahmin said: Who are you? He said: I am the one you have heard of, the lord of yakshas, Vaishravana. What is the command? What should I give? The Brahmin said: Great king, you should also take delight in this great sacrifice. He said: Brahmin, I will do as you wish. He said: Great king, therefore, with my words, let the yakshas enter the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and command them thus: If you yakshas desire unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, then go and bring excellent sandalwood and the essence of snakes from the other side of the ocean. Some should bring various kinds of incense, and some should bring various kinds of flowers. Command them thus, and I will make offerings to the Blessed One Buddha every day. King Vaishravana listened to the Brahmin and said: I will do so. Then he immediately disappeared, and after beating a large drum, he gathered the yakshas and rakshasas and said: O friends, be aware! In this Jambudvipa, in front of the wheel-turning king, the chief of the leaders, the Brahmin named Ocean Dust, will honor the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Complete Buddha, the essence of precious jewels, together with the Sangha of monks, with all necessities for seven years. Therefore, you should rejoice in his root of virtue, and may that root of virtue bring you unsurpassed fruit.

愿发起对圆满正等菩提之心。那时，无数的夜叉和罗刹们合掌说道：婆罗门海尘如此供养佛陀及其眷属，我们随喜其功德之流。愿将此善根回向于无上圆满菩提。多闻天王说道：你们听着！你们之中谁想要善根和功德，就从大海的彼岸取来婆罗门海尘七年中供养佛陀及其眷属的旃檀圣地和蛇的心髓。然后，九万二千个夜叉一致说道：我们愿意这样做。四万六千个夜叉说道：我们将取来香。五万二千个夜叉说道：我们将取来各种鲜花。二万个夜叉说道：我们将为世尊及其眷属取来各种药物精华，并对食物和风力加强的混合物注入力量。七万个夜叉说道：我们将为世尊及其眷属准备食物。之后，婆罗门海尘处，国王圣生和恶眼，以及众多国土守护眷属，还有龙和乾闼婆无数百千万亿也来到婆罗门海尘处，如前一样，直到发起圆满菩提之心。之后，凭借佛陀的威力，四大洲第二个洲的护世者们，以及三千大千世界的国土的多闻天王之子等四大天王百千亿眷属，也来到那位婆罗门处，使他们受持无上圆满菩提之心。之后，婆罗门海尘想，我成就无上菩提的愿望已经圆满实现，如果愿望实现，就将此供养布施分给欲界天的诸神，并让他们受持无上圆满菩提，以及天界之主帝释天等诸天。

May you generate the mind for perfect and complete enlightenment. At that time, countless yakshas and rakshasas, with their palms joined, said: "We rejoice in the stream of merit of the Brahmin Ocean Dust who has thus served the Buddha and his retinue. May that root of virtue be dedicated to attaining unsurpassed and complete enlightenment." King Vaishravana said: "Listen, all of you! Whoever among you desires roots of virtue and merit, bring from the other side of the ocean the excellent sandalwood ground and the essence of snakes with which the Brahmin Ocean Dust served the Buddha and his retinue for seven years." Then, ninety-two thousand yakshas unanimously said: "We will do so." Forty-six thousand yakshas said: "We will take incense." Fifty-two thousand yakshas said: "We will take various flowers." Twenty thousand yakshas said: "We will take various medicinal essences for the Blessed One and his retinue, and we will infuse power into the food and the mixture that strengthens the wind." Seventy thousand yakshas said: "We will prepare food for the Blessed One and his retinue." Then, King Aryodbhava and Evil Eye, along with many land-guarding retinues, as well as countless billions of dragons and gandharvas, came to the Brahmin Ocean Dust, and as before, until they generated the mind for perfect enlightenment. Then, by the power of the Buddha, the world protectors of the second of the four continents, and the four great kings, such as the son of Vaishravana of the three-thousand great-thousand world realm, with hundreds of thousands of billions of retinues, also came to that Brahmin, and he caused them to hold the mind of unsurpassed and complete enlightenment. Then, the Brahmin Ocean Dust thought, "If my hope of attaining unsurpassed enlightenment is truly fulfilled and my aspiration is accomplished, I will distribute the offerings and generosity to the gods who dwell in the realm of desire, and cause them to hold unsurpassed and complete enlightenment, as well as the lord of the gods, Indra, and the gods."
