You have attained great wisdom. You have made offerings. Great king, you should generate the mind of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment! The king said: Brahmin, I do not desire unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment. I give alms, keep the precepts, and listen to the Dharma for the sake of manifestly desiring samsara. Brahmin, unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment is difficult to attain, so it is not needed. The Brahmin Ocean Dust said to the king twice: Great king, the path to enlightenment is true and correct, so you should contemplate and make aspirations. That path is complete and has great faith because it has no obscurations. That path has pure and upright superior intention. That path is unwavering and pure because it eliminates afflictions. And so on. That path is joyful because it is blessed by all the Tathagatas. That path is in harmony with the jewel of omniscience itself, so it will definitely accomplish the great jewel. And so on. That path is separated from all non-virtue, so it goes to happy migrations. Great king, that path of enlightenment ultimately leads to nirvana, so it obtains happiness. Great king, generate the mind of enlightenment! Thus, he spoke a great praise of the mind of enlightenment. The king said: Brahmin, since the Tathagata appeared in the world among beings with a lifespan of eighty thousand years, the Tathagata does not engage in pacifying all the bad migrations, but rather allows beings to abide in the fruit of their own roots of virtue. Some have accomplished dharanis, samadhi, and forbearance. Bodhisattvas whose roots of virtue are supreme will never turn back from enlightenment. Some beings experience the glory of gods and humans. Thus, beings are driven by their own virtuous and non-virtuous actions. If even the suffering of a single being is not completely pacified, then who are the beings to be tamed by the Bhagavan? The body of the Bhagavan is merely transformed into a pure land. The Tathagata did not liberate beings who have not accumulated roots of virtue from suffering. I will generate the mind of enlightenment and

Also practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, accumulating great wisdom, and entering into the inconceivable vast Dharma gates, thereby subduing sentient beings and also performing the deeds of a Buddha. However, for a Buddha-field such as this, filled with afflictions, one does not solely dedicate oneself entirely for the sake of Bodhi. If, when I attain that Buddha-field where I will touch upon unsurpassed Bodhi, I will obtain such a Buddha-field where I will completely pacify all the sufferings of sentient beings, then I will generate the mind of Bodhi and also practice the conduct of a Bodhisattva. Thus he spoke. Then, the Buddha's Jewel Essence Samadhi, called Mirror Adornment, as soon as he entered into it, with great light in each of the ten directions, the qualities and adornments of a thousand Buddha-fields like the dust motes of the world were manifested. In some realms, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, had passed into Nirvana, and in others, he was rightly entering into complete Nirvana. Similarly, in some realms, Bodhisattvas were sitting under the Bodhi tree, defeating the Maras, and after becoming Buddhas, turning the wheel of Dharma, and so on. In some realms, they were filled with Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, without Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and in others, there were Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. In some realms, they were empty of Buddhas, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas. In some realms, they were afflicted by the five degenerations and filled with afflictions, and in others, they were completely pure, free from the five degenerations. In some realms, the beings were supreme, and in others, they were inferior. In some realms, they were long-lived, and in others, they were short-lived. Some realms were forming, some realms were abiding, and some realms were filled with terrors such as fire. All those realms were pervaded by great light, and with the retinue complete in everything, he manifested such miraculous powers of seeing the qualities and adornments of the Buddha-fields. Then, the Brahmin Ocean Dust said to the king: Great King, having beheld the qualities and adornments of the Buddha-fields, generate the mind of unsurpassed, perfect Bodhi! What kind of Buddha-field do you desire?
