When the last of all appeared, the elder brothers said, "We have ripened all sentient beings, what will you do after that?" The youngest said, "The Buddha's Dharma is like the sky, and sentient beings are inexhaustible, so I vow to perform such Buddha deeds as the sum of all your lifetimes." As soon as he said that, the sound of the gods praising "Excellent!" came from the sky. This is the Tathagata called 'Adhimukti', the last of the thousand Buddhas. The sum of the lifespans, the number of the Sangha, and all the deeds of the previous Tathagatas of this Fortunate Aeon will become such lifespans, etc. Then those thousand youths said to the youths Dharma-citta and Dharma-mati, "Noble sons, what kind of aspiration have you made?" The son of Mother Smada, Dharma-citta, said, "Friends, I will act among all of you, becoming Vajrapani, not separate from all the secrets of the Tathagatas, and I will listen to, believe in, and realize all the inner and outer Buddha Dharmas, and thus I make this aspiration." The son of Mother Demeda, Dharma-mati, said, "I vow that when you all become Buddhas, I will urge you to turn the wheel of Dharma." Thus they spoke. Among them, King Dhrtarastra is the Buddha Dipamkara, the thousand sons are the thousand Buddhas of this Fortunate Aeon, the boy Dharma-citta is the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, and the boy Dharma-mati is Brahma Suvikrantavikrami. Then Sariputra said to the Bhagavan, "Bhagavan, do the Bodhisattvas of the Fortunate Aeon in the ten directions, who are now practicing celibacy before the Buddhas, have a Lord of Secrets for all of them?" The Buddha said, "Sariputra, leave this inconceivable matter aside. This conduct of the Bodhisattvas will confuse the world, including the gods. Do you see Vajrapani always following me like a shadow? He replied: I see it through the power of the Buddha, but I did not see it before. The Buddha said: Thus, behind all the Bodhisattvas of the Good Kalpa, the form of Vajrapani is always shown. Do you see Vajrapani behind Maitreya now? He replied: I see it for the first time today, but I did not see it before. The Buddha said: He is always behind him, but you did not see him. Bodhisattvas and world protectors see him holding a vajra and always staying there. Even if all the Bodhisattvas of the Good Kalpa emanate billions of hundreds of thousands of emanations, Vajrapani appears to be present behind all of them. Likewise, he also appears behind all the emanations of the Tathagata, and all those blessings belong to the Lord of Secrets. Even though the form of Vajrapani is always shown behind all the sentient beings in the great thousand world, it does not mean that he fully shows the blessings of Dharma and wisdom. After saying this, the Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva Shanti Mati: Shanti Mati, this Vajrapani, holding the vajra, makes offerings to all the Buddhas of the Good Kalpa, upholds the sacred Dharma, expands the categories of the secret Dharma of the Tathagata, and fully matures immeasurable sentient beings. When the sacred Dharma of the time of devotion to the Tathagata declines, he will be born in the pure land of the Buddha Akshobhya, the Abhirati world, and there he will receive and practice one hundred and eight mudras from the Tathagata. After that, he will please countless immeasurable Tathagatas, protect their Dharma, and mature immeasurable sentient beings into perfect enlightenment. After as many kalpas as there are sands in the Ganges River have passed, he will attain perfect complete enlightenment. In the world called "Purifying Kalpa," in the pure land called "All Pure," he will become the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha - Vajra Completely Overcoming.

In that Buddha-field, there are no lower realms or unfavorable conditions, it is completely pure, adorned with prosperity, and it becomes like the enjoyment of the gods of Tushita (Tibetan: དགའ་ལྡན།), and there is no untimely death. The beings born there are inclined towards the vast Dharma, there is not even the name of the Hearer-Pratyekabuddha Vehicle, only the words of Bodhisattvas are spoken, and those gods and humans will be adorned with the thirty-two marks. The lifespan of that Tathagata will last for eight intermediate kalpas. When he teaches the Dharma, light emanates from his body, gathering the retinue, and rising in the sky above like a hundred thousand palm trees high, he pervades the four continents of the world with his body in the lotus posture. He makes the ten directions of the world understand with his voice, and thus teaches the Dharma. There, there is not a single being who would contradict or refute the Dharma being taught, all are sharp-witted. In that field, there is no other king except the Tathagata, the King of Dharma, and beings do not cling to "my" possessions. When the Tathagata wishes to receive alms, the gods and humans stand before him holding begging bowls, and just by thinking, all the necessary items appear, and they offer alms. When the Tathagata enters into meditation, those Bodhisattvas also abide in the state of meditation. The World Honored One prophesied that that world possesses these qualities and other immeasurable qualities. When the prophecy was made, Vajrapani threw the vajra into the sky, this world shook, a rain of flowers fell, and melodious music resounded.
