You will become a Sugata, an Arhat, a perfectly complete Buddha named "All-Seeing." When you become a Bodhisattva, all the prayers you have made will be fulfilled. Therefore, you will generate roots of virtue from many billions of Buddhas, become like medicine for sentient beings, completely fulfill your aspirations, destroy afflictions, and cause the side of virtue to flourish. Thus it was said. From the fifteenth chapter of the Jewel Heap Sutra, the Array of the Qualities of the Field of Manjushri: In the past, immeasurable hundreds of thousands of Ganges' river sands times seven past, at that time, in that era, from here to the east, there arose a world called "Good Arising," in which the Thus-Gone One, King of Dragon Sound, became enlightened and taught the Dharma. At that time, this Manjushri was a wheel-turning king named "Sky." He, together with his sons, wives, relatives, and retinue, served the Thus-Gone One, together with the Sangha of Hearers and Bodhisattvas, for eighty-four thousand years with all kinds of provisions, such as food, in a splendid manner. After that, the king sat alone in seclusion and thought: To which shall I dedicate this root of virtue of mine, to Brahma, Indra, a wheel-turning king, or a Hearer or Solitary Realizer? At that time, from the sky, the gods' voices arose: Great king, do not generate such an inferior mind; you have done vast roots of virtue, please generate the mind of unsurpassed enlightenment! The king was delighted and thought: I shall never turn back from enlightenment. Then, the king, surrounded by eighty billion hundred thousand kotis of beings, went to the Thus-Gone One, King of Dragon Sound, and, with palms joined, asked in verses about the manner in which his own thoughts had arisen, etc., and the Thus-Gone One

Please tell me the methods to obtain that land. From today until I attain enlightenment, with the Buddhas of the ten directions as my witness, I will not generate afflictive emotions, I will abandon all non-virtuous actions, and I will follow the Buddha with pure conduct and discipline. I am not eager to attain Buddhahood quickly, but for the sake of every sentient being until the end of future lives, I will practice. I will purify immeasurable and inconceivable Buddha-fields, and may my name be heard and proclaimed in all ten directions. After saying this, twenty billion beings who followed the king also generated the mind of enlightenment. Thus, since Mañjuśrī Kumārabhūta generated the mind of enlightenment, countless kalpas, hundreds of thousands of millions, and seven thousand times the sands of the Ganges have passed. After obtaining tolerance of the unborn dharma, sixty-four times the sands of the Ganges have also passed. From then on, he perfected the ten powers of the Tathāgata, perfected all ten Bodhisattva grounds, and perfected the Buddha's ground. He perfected all the qualities of the Buddha, but never once generated the thought, "Will I attain perfect enlightenment and become a Buddha or not?" The twenty billion beings who previously generated the mind of enlightenment together with King Space, all became Buddhas and worked for the benefit of immeasurable sentient beings, and all except one have passed into complete nirvana. Mañjuśrī Kumārabhūta placed them all in the six perfections, honored them all, and upheld the sacred Dharma. Except for that one Tathāgata, from here downwards, after passing forty-four thousand times the sands of the Ganges, there is a world called "Sound of the Earth," where there is a Buddha named "Earth God Tathāgata," with an immeasurable assembly of Bodhisattvas and an immeasurable lifespan, who is still living now. After the Bhagavan spoke thus, the Bodhisattva Simha Vikrīḍita said to Mañjuśrī with a prominent voice: You...

Thus, when the bodhisattva's stage is complete and all the Buddha's teachings are obtained, why does one not become a Buddha? Manjushri replied: Even if the Buddha's teachings are complete, there is no further attainment of enlightenment, because it has been obtained from the beginning. Because of the nature of suchness, it is equal to all dharmas, and there is no becoming enlightened in that which has no arising or ceasing. He answered with this meaning. Then, the Bhagavan also said to Manjushri: Please show the aspiration that arranges the qualities of your field. Manjushri, wishing to show his own aspiration, knelt on his right knee and, with palms joined, bowed to the Bhagavan, and the world trembled in six ways like the sands of the Ganges River. Then, Manjushri said: Bhagavan, from countless kalpas, I have made the aspiration: Whenever I look with the unobstructed eye of a Buddha in the ten directions, the boundless and limitless realms of the world, if I do not see that I have placed all the Buddhas in enlightenment, and placed, encouraged, and taught them in the mind of enlightenment and the paramitas, then I will never attain unsurpassed enlightenment. In the ten directions, if I do not see such a Tathagata whom I have not placed in the Buddha position, then I will attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Thus, I made the aspiration. Then, the bodhisattvas in that assembly thought: How many Tathagata Bhagavans will Manjushri see? The Bhagavan, knowing their thoughts, then taught: Son of good family, for example, if someone were to shatter this great chiliocosm into tiny particles and turn it into dust, the number of those tiny particles, even if those skilled in calculation could not count or measure it with hundreds, thousands, millions, etc., the number of Buddhas of that number, Manjushri, having become a youth, looking with the unobstructed eye of a Buddha, would be able to see in each of the ten directions. The Bhagavan taught thus. Then, the Bhagavan to Manjushri
