Thereafter, diligently abide in meditation, and do not make offerings to the relics of the Blessed One, nor go to the stupa. Then, countless gods and novice monks said that these two monks were not faithful and respectful because they did not make offerings and circumambulate the relics of the Tathagata. The two monks said: Friends, how can one make offerings to the Tathagata? By what means can one obtain offerings even if the relics are without consciousness? The monks and gods said: These relics are divided by the aggregates of morality and so on, therefore these are worthy of offering. The two monks said: Then, morality, concentration, wisdom, liberation, and the vision of the wisdom of liberation themselves are worthy of offering, and the relics are not worthy of offering, are they? The monks and gods said: Yes, that is so. The two monks said: Friends, then what is the nature of morality and so on? The gods and monks said: Those are the nature of non-action. The two monks said: Then, can one offer non-action with action? The monks and gods said: That is not possible. The two monks said: Friends, therefore, do not cling to self, and that will be making offerings. For those who think of the Buddha, even the Buddha is not seen, let alone the act of offering, there is no basis for it. Furthermore, those who wish to offer to the Tathagata should offer to themselves. The monks and gods said: How should those who wish to offer to the Tathagata offer to themselves? The two monks, Dharma and Good Dharma, said: Friends, in what way did the Tathagata make himself worthy of being offered by all sentient beings, so should one offer oneself. As the Tathagata taught, so should one learn, and do not be arrogant, one should thoroughly distinguish the Dharma, and thoroughly

Moreover, do not contemplate any dharma. When you worship yourselves in that way, you also worship the Tathagata. You are also worthy of being worshiped. If you want to worship the relics of the Tathagata, you should worship as the Tathagata worshiped himself, and you should cultivate those qualities that enable the relics to also receive offerings. In that way, it is equivalent to worshiping the Tathagata. Not generating concepts and signs, being free from all signs such as self-grasping, discrimination, permanence and annihilation, coming and going, etc., and not focusing on signs, this is worshiping the Tathagata. Because the body of the Tathagata is of the nature of non-birth, non-manifestation, non-duality, etc., it is not easy to worship by means of birth and so on. After teaching the Dharma in this way, among that retinue, forty-two thousand Bodhisattvas obtained forbearance of the unborn Dharma. Eighty-four thousand beings generated wisdom and insight, and obtained detachment and the non-returner fruit. Twenty-three thousand beings who had not previously generated the mind generated the unsurpassed Bodhicitta. From then on, those monks and gods, because they were focused on their own benefit and abiding in few activities, did not devote themselves to offering stupas, etc. That is because they had correctly entered the profound and unsurpassed Dharma. The Blessed One said: Light Protector, one should learn from the profound forbearance and skillful means of such excellent people. Thus he spoke. In the Dharani of the Ornament of a Hundred Thousand Verses on the Essence of Enlightenment, it says: Manjushri, become a youth, took a bowl and collected all the realms of Dharma spoken by the Blessed One there, and offered it to the Blessed One. The Blessed One stretched out his golden hand, took it, and threw it into the sky in front of him, and that bowl became the body of the Tathagata filling the expanse of the sky, filling the great thousand worlds.

Then, they all said "Well done" to the Bhagavan Shakyamuni. Before each of them appeared the Bhagavan Shakyamuni with his retinue, and before each Shakyamuni appeared Manjushri offering a begging bowl. Then, the great Bodhisattva Vajrapani said to Manjushri, who had become the youth Manjushri: Manjushri, for whose sake is this great and wondrous miracle, the gathering and manifestation of all the Tathagatas? What is the cause of this? Why is this display of radiating light manifested? Manjushri said: Vajrapani, do you not know the cause of the appearance of light and the miracle? Vajrapani said: Manjushri, I do not know. Such a great miracle of the gathering and manifestation of all the Tathagatas, I have never seen or heard before, and today is the first time I have seen it. Then, Vajrapani shook his vajra, circumambulated the Bhagavan three times, and requested the Bhagavan: What kind of Dharma is about to be taught that today such a rare and wondrous miracle, never before seen or heard, has appeared? The Bhagavan said: Vajrapani, wait a moment! It will appear in an instant. As soon as he said this, a stupa made of seven precious jewels appeared, seven thousand yojanas high and five thousand yojanas wide, with a splendid array of ornaments, and the hosts of gods worshipped and prostrated to it from the sky. Then, the Bhagavan instructed Vajrapani to open the door of that stupa, and Vajrapani opened the door of the stupa with his right hand, Inside it, on a throne made of Jambu River gold, adorned with seven precious jewels, and covered with divine silk cloths, appeared the Bhagavan Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, with an extremely radiant golden face, and an extremely powerful light called the Victory Banner Top, who was absorbed in meditation. Then, that Tathagata said to the Bhagavan Shakyamuni: Your kind of
