也如此作意。同样，在发生疾病的恐惧和饥荒的恐惧时，也能平息所有那些痛苦。种姓之子以如此众多三摩地的力量，以无量、无数、不可思议的利益和安乐，使众生得以喘息。此（菩萨）于过去的时间里，为了救护所有众生，与如恒河沙数般无量无数的诸佛世尊，立下了无尽的大誓愿。生起了大慈悲和不可夺取的精进，并且以那越来越增上的力量，即使只是一瞬间，也能调伏无数个别的众生，数以百千俱胝计，从各种痛苦中解脱出来，并以他们想要的一切，使愿望完全圆满。在任何地方，众生因各种欲望而受苦，被欲望所煎熬的那些众生，若能一心称念菩萨地藏的名号，并以专注和恭敬的态度进行供养，就能得到他们想要的一切，脱离痛苦，并如其业力一般，从投生到天界，直到证得涅槃。同样地，如果因为缺乏食物、饮料、衣服和装饰品等而祈祷，就能得到想要的一切，并获得直到涅槃的果报。如果与慈爱分离，与仇敌相遇，身心被疾病和痛苦所折磨，发生争斗和争论，被囚禁在监狱里，遭受殴打、凌辱甚至面临杀害，身心疲惫、缺乏力量和能力而变得虚弱，感官衰退或不完整， 醉酒、精神错乱，被鬼神附体，被贪嗔等各种烦恼折磨身心而无法动弹，因火、水、风和坠入悬崖等恐惧而心生恐惧和退缩，被毒蛇、猛兽和各种毒物所缠绕，被鬼神所侵扰而患上持续的瘟疫等各种疾病而颤抖、失去记忆，以及被夜叉、罗刹等非人和非人，凶猛的野兽和咒语所伤害。

They also keep it in mind in this way. Similarly, when the fear of disease and the fear of famine occur, they also pacify all those sufferings. In this way, sons of good family, with the power of many samadhis, with immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable benefits and happiness, cause beings to breathe a sigh of relief. This (Bodhisattva) in the past, for the sake of saving all sentient beings, made endless great vows with immeasurable and countless Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges. He generated great compassion and unshakeable diligence, and with the power of that ever-increasing strength, even in just a moment, he subdued countless individual beings, hundreds of thousands of kotis, liberated them from various sufferings, and completely fulfilled their wishes with whatever they desired. In any place where sentient beings suffer from various desires, those who are tormented by desires, if they single-mindedly recite the name of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha and make offerings with focused and respectful attitude, they will obtain everything they desire, be free from suffering, and according to their karma, from being born in the heavens to attaining nirvana. Similarly, if they pray because of lack of food, drink, clothing, and ornaments, etc., they will obtain everything they desire and attain the result up to nirvana. If they are separated from love and affection, encounter enemies and hatred, their body and mind are tormented by illness and suffering, they are engaged in fighting and disputes, they are imprisoned in prison, they are subjected to beatings, humiliation, and even face being killed, their body and mind are exhausted, they lack strength and ability and become weak, their senses are impaired or incomplete, drunk, mentally disturbed, possessed by spirits, tormented in body and mind by various afflictions such as attachment and hatred and unable to move, their hearts are filled with fear and shrink from fears such as fire, water, wind, and falling into cliffs, they are entangled by poisonous snakes, fierce beasts, and various poisons, they are afflicted by spirits and suffer from constant plagues and various diseases, trembling and losing their memory, and harmed by yakshas, rakshasas, and other non-humans and non-humans, ferocious beasts, and mantras.

如果被邪魔和战场上遭遇的其他各种各样的恐惧所缠绕，导致身心痛苦时，他们如果念诵并供养地藏菩萨的名号，就能迅速脱离所有这些不适，并获得心中所期望的安乐。那些渴望多闻、信仰、戒律、禅定、神通、智慧、解脱，以及清净的色等五种妙欲，利益和获得或名声、福德和手艺生活，鲜花和果实和花园和床榻和坐垫和财物和谷物和疾病的因缘药物和土地财富，房屋奴仆颜料雨水和庄稼温暖和凉爽凉 荫和凉风火和坐骑儿子和女儿的人们，或者那些渴望巧妙的方法或行善和心怀善意的人们，或者其他那些渴望世间和出世间各种事物的人们，如果他们一心一意地念诵地藏菩萨的名号，并以专注的态度进行供养，那么，这位善男子凭借其禅定的功德、力量和威严，就能脱离所有痛苦的折磨，所有的愿望都将圆满实现，并根据各自的福报，从投生到天界直至涅槃，都能获得相应的果报。无论在肥沃或贫瘠的土地上播种，无论是否努力耕作，如果一心一意地念诵并供养地藏菩萨的名号，那么那里的庄稼就会丰收，果实就会成熟。这是为什么呢？善男子，这是因为过去在无量无数的大劫中，他对无量无数的佛陀发起了精进的修行，并以坚定的誓愿力，为了使众生完全成熟。他恒常完全持有所有的大地，恒常完全持有所有的种子，并且恒常随顺所有众生的心意而行事。善男子，凭借他的神变力，从这片大地上生长的草木、幼苗等都会繁荣生长。

If one is afflicted by evil spirits and encounters various fears on the battlefield, causing suffering to body and mind, by reciting and making offerings to the name of Earth-Essence Bodhisattva, they can quickly be freed from all these discomforts and attain the happiness they desire in their hearts. Those who desire extensive learning, faith, discipline, meditation, supernormal powers, wisdom, liberation, and the five desirable qualities such as pure form; profit and gain, or fame, merit, and skillful living; flowers and fruits, gardens, beds, cushions, wealth, grains, medicine for ailments, and land and property; houses, servants, paints, rain, water, crops, warmth, coolness, shade, cool breezes, fire, vehicles, sons, and daughters; or those who desire skillful means, virtuous deeds, and goodwill; or others who long for various worldly and transcendental objects, if they single-mindedly recite the name of Earth-Essence Bodhisattva and make offerings with focused attention, then, by the power of that noble son's samadhi, virtues, strength, and majesty, all those sufferings will be removed, all wishes will be completely fulfilled, and according to their respective merits, they will attain the corresponding results, from being born in the heavens to attaining nirvana. Wherever seeds are sown in fertile or barren land, whether diligently cultivated or not, if one single-mindedly recites and makes offerings to the name of Earth-Essence Bodhisattva, the crops there will be abundant and the fruits will ripen. Why is that? Noble son, it is because in the past, during immeasurable and countless great kalpas, he initiated diligent practice towards immeasurable and countless Buddhas, and with the power of his steadfast vows, he vowed to fully ripen all sentient beings. He constantly and completely holds all the great earth, constantly and completely holds all the seeds, and constantly acts in accordance with the wishes of all sentient beings. Noble son, by the power of his miraculous abilities, the plants, trees, sprouts, and so on that grow from this great earth will flourish.
