Having completely abandoned laziness, one clings to dross due to lack of faith. Arrogant and constantly conceited, the faithless do not submit to others. Moreover, those faithless ones, having renounced the world, also denigrate the teachings of the guide. With what harmony does the Sangha become adorned? They contradict it with non-Dharmic words. With that stain upon the teachings of the Buddhas, like the heretics, they are filled with doubt and hesitation. They seize the opportunity to slander the Dharma, and the faithless also abandon the Dharma. Furthermore, in the Sutra of the Three Vows, it is said: When the true Dharma declines, the wicked will grow in strength, and those monks who are born from the heart of my son, the Buddha, will be abandoned. Moreover, in the Sutra Teaching the Absence of Origination of All Dharmas, it is said: Those who speak of emptiness, delight in debate, and harbor hatred through strife, where will there be Buddha, Dharma, and Bodhi for those who are without vows and harbor evil intentions? Furthermore, in the Samdhinirmocana Sutra, it is said: For the Great Vehicle and the Lesser Vehicle, whatever various natures of dharmas are taught, those dharmas themselves also teach only one way, therefore I do not say that the vehicles are different. While speaking of the meaning, they engage in conceptual elaboration, falsely imputing and slandering, and if they think that those are contradictory, then they are extremely ignorant, and their wisdom will become confused. Furthermore, in the Sutra Requested by the Jewel Daughter, it is said: However many dharmas of emptiness are spoken, one does not abide in emptiness as it is. Whoever contradicts the nature of Dharma, he cannot tolerate the profound truth. Therefore, abandon and forsake pride, cut off improper conduct, and strive to cultivate wisdom. Whoever does not wish to be destroyed, that person should abandon ignorant words, and renounce jealousy like avoiding a pile of fire. These teachings of the scriptures are actually present and can serve as supporting evidence. Moreover, in the King of Tantras, the Inconceivable Secret of Chakrasamvara, it is said: Self-awareness, dry speculation, and adhering to nihilistic views are incompatible with the self-awareness of mind, and with the inexpressible and inconceivable. Separated from those, one obtains the inconceivable, great wisdom of self-awareness.

It is said extensively and so on. In the Sutra of Subduing Immoral Conduct, it is said: When a monk teaches mindfulness as Dharma, the gods are displeased, saying that the teachings will perish. If they teach the Dharma without characteristics, they are happy and say that the teachings still remain. Thus, it is said extensively. Likewise, before the venerable Nagarjuna, in the Root Verses on the Middle Way, it is said: If there is a little bit of non-emptiness, then there will also be a little bit of emptiness. If there is not a little bit of non-emptiness, how can there be emptiness? The Buddhas declared emptiness to be the definitive elimination of all views. Those who hold the view of emptiness are incurable. Thus, and, those who hold the view of self-nature, other-nature, existence and non-existence, do not see the reality of the Buddha's teachings. The Blessed One, with his wisdom, in the advice to Katyayana, refuted both existence and non-existence. Thus, and, what is called existence is grasped as permanence. What is called non-existence is seen as annihilation. Therefore, the wise should not abide in existence and non-existence. Thus, and, liberation is attained by the exhaustion of karma and afflictions. Karma and afflictions arise from conceptual thought. These arise from elaboration, which is stopped by emptiness. Thus, and, what is to be said ceases, because the sphere of activity of the mind ceases. Unborn and unceasing, the nature of reality is equal to nirvana. All is true, all is not true, true and not true, neither true nor not true, this is the teaching of the Buddha. Peace that is not known from others, not elaborated by elaborations, meaning without conceptual thought, without difference, this is the characteristic of thatness. Thus, and, one should not say it is empty, nor should one say it is not empty, one should not say it is two or not two, it should be said for the sake of designation. The four, such as permanence and impermanence, where are they in this peace? The four, such as having an end and not having an end, where are they in this peace? Thus, and, in that which is empty by its own nature, after the Buddha has passed into nirvana, it is not appropriate to think of it as existing or not existing. Thus, and, those who elaborate on the Buddha who has passed beyond elaboration, who elaborate on the inexhaustible, all those who are harmed by elaboration will not see the Tathagata. The self of the Tathagata
