They do not comprehend it. Thus, it was extensively spoken. In the Precious Lankavatara Sutra, it says: Existence and non-existence are two extremes; all realms of the mind, if those realms are completely abandoned, the mind becomes equal, extremely solitary, and attains peace. And, Mahamati, sons or daughters of good families should not grasp or cling to the literal meaning of words, for Suchness is devoid of names and letters. Mahamati, just as when someone points to an object with the tip of their finger, a fool looks at the tip of the finger and thus does not attain the true meaning. Similarly, ordinary beings also grasp and cling to the literal tip of the finger, and do not let go of it until death. Having abandoned the literal tip of the finger, they cannot attain the ultimate reality. And, Mahamati, to the extent that conceptual thoughts of language arise, to that extent the faults of permanence and impermanence occur. But when the wisdom of conceptual thought is exhausted, then the views of permanence and impermanence held by ordinary beings, which have not been pacified, will be completely abandoned. Thus it was spoken. In the Sutra of Entering Non-Conceptualization Dharani, it says: Thus, when Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas do not remember any aspects of the characteristics of conceptual thought, and completely abandon them, then they are truly diligent in the realm of non-conceptualization. Although they may not have touched the realm of non-conceptualization for a while, there is a proper samadhi that will touch the realm of non-conceptualization. And, why is the realm of non-conceptualization called non-conceptualization? Because it is completely beyond all analytical conceptualizations, and completely beyond all conceptualizations of teachings and examples. Thus it was extensively taught. So, what is non-conceptualization? Non-conceptualization is without form, cannot be indicated, has no basis, has no appearance, is not consciousness, and has no place. Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, by abiding in the realm of non-conceptualization, are no different from what is to be known,

With non-conceptual wisdom, all phenomena are seen as equal to the center of the sky. With the wisdom gained from the aftermath of non-conceptualization, all phenomena are seen as equal to illusion, mirage, dream, optical illusion, echo, image, water moon, and emanation. Staying in great bliss, one also obtains great increase, and so on, the benefits are widely proclaimed. In the Sutra of the Jewel Heap Dharani, it says: 'Son of lineage, the realm of Dharma is unborn. Son of lineage, the realm of Dharma is inconceivable. Son of lineage, the realm of Dharma is the realization of no-thingness, and no thing can be spoken of or indicated.' And so on. In the Sutra Requested by the King of Dharani Empowerment, it says: 'Whatever is obtained as tolerance in accordance with what is objectified, that is without a place to abide.' And so on. In the Bodhisattva Section of the Jewel Heap, it says: 'What is conventional truth? It is all the terminology of the world, and what is indicated by letters, sounds, and symbols. That is called the conventional truth of the world. What is ultimate truth? Where there is no movement of mind, what need is there to mention letters? That is ultimate truth. What is the truth of characteristics? It is like this: all characteristics are in one characteristic, and one characteristic is without characteristics.' Therefore, a Bodhisattva is not weary of explaining conventional truth, does not fall by not manifesting ultimate truth, and realizes the truth of characteristics as without characteristics. That is called a Bodhisattva who is skilled in truth. Furthermore, truth is one and not two, like this, it is the truth of cessation. Therefore, one does not add anything to the one truth, and one connects beings who have fallen into addition with the truth. That is called a Bodhisattva who is skilled in truth.' And so on. In the Noble Sutra on the Two Truths, it is also taught in a similar way, and it is said that ultimate truth transcends even the realm of the Buddha's wisdom, which is endowed with all supreme aspects, and so on, all the profound sutras are said to agree on this point.
