Just as the moments that are the basis of deception or the basis of imputation do not need to be interrupted. If you think like this: May it not become happiness or suffering. Then, that mind that thinks 'I', arises simultaneously with sentient beings. As it is said in the Commentary on Valid Cognition, if you grasp your own aggregates as true, then when experiencing happiness and suffering that depend on the aggregates, how can the innate mind that thinks 'I' not arise? The experience of happiness and suffering also arises from the coarse aggregates, although it does not arise from indivisible particles. However, since there is a collection of contaminated aggregates, it is undeniable that experiencing happiness and suffering depends on it. However, merely that does not require the arising of self-grasping, because it is reasonable to experience happiness and suffering from many aggregates that are merely phenomena, and because it is realized that there is no self or what belongs to self in them. When the fixation on self ceases, one will not grasp even one's own aggregates as belonging to self, because grasping at what belongs to self arises from grasping at self. As it is said in the Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds: Because there is no agent, there is no action; therefore, there is no self, so there is no what belongs to self. Therefore, the yogi who sees the emptiness of self and what belongs to self will be liberated. As it is said, for those who do not grasp at self and what belongs to self, a mind that is equal like sandalwood and excrement will arise, and this is called detachment. If it is not like that, then in conventional terms, merely experiencing happiness and suffering that depends on the aggregates also exists for great Arhats. Even if one merely realizes that the aggregates are not true, it is still acceptable. However, if the innate self-grasping cannot be reversed by relying on the experience of happiness and suffering while the aggregates exist, then it is impossible in any school that Arhats have not eradicated the innate self-grasping from its root. Therefore, having ascertained the true meaning through valid reasoning and having seen its meaning directly from habituation, and then from perfecting the habituation again, wishing to pacify from the root the conceptual thoughts of superimposition that are the opposite of it, this is the way of all correct meditation on the path, so it must be ascertained in this way. As explained above, the reasoning that shows that only Hearers and Solitary Realizers have the realization of emptiness that arises from dependence, the five aggregates composed of moments and indivisible particles are also like solidified bubbles and so on.

Since there is no difference in the perception of characteristics or aspects in the object of clinging to the aggregates, there is no way to prevent clinging to the self of a person in such aggregates. Unless the object of clinging of innate self-grasping is eliminated, it is impossible to eliminate self-grasping, and therefore there is no way to escape from samsara. If one is liberated from samsara, then the object of clinging will inevitably be eliminated, and the pervasiveness of realizing selflessness will also be established. So how to eliminate the object of clinging of innate self-grasping? It is to know that the so-called "I" is merely imputed in dependence on the aggregates. If one does not understand that the thing on which it is imputed has no own being, then it is established that it cannot be eliminated. Therefore, those Hearers and Solitary Realizers Arhats who must be liberated from samsara must realize the emptiness of mere imputation or conditionality, that is, the emptiness that is synonymous with dependent arising, otherwise it is impossible to realize the selflessness of persons. If one realizes such selflessness of persons, why would one not realize that those who believe that the nature of permanence and aggregation exists conventionally also have no nature, since there is no difference in the ease or difficulty of realization and the way of realization between the two. Even so, it is said that those Hearers and Solitary Realizers who abide in the result cannot realize the emptiness of all phenomena as groundless like the Great Vehicle practitioners. Even if they consider it with their own logic, such as the two partless ones, they admit many phenomena that have own being, so there is no reason why they must realize that these are also without truth. For the time being, there is no contradiction in the existence of such a lower path that has not yet completely realized the selflessness of phenomena, and even if the selflessness of phenomena is not completely realized, it is established by scripture and reason that there is a result achieved by one's own path. Therefore, it is established that the realization of some coarse phenomena as without truth and the selflessness of persons can only be led by the Hearers' and Solitary Realizers' own path, and the realization of the complete selflessness that is broader than that cannot be led by entering the inferior path, because the conditions of the supreme path, such as external and internal spiritual guides, are not complete, so it is not reasonable for its result to arise effortlessly and spontaneously. In the Great Vehicle, since the limbs of the path, such as the complete demonstration of both the selflessness of persons and the selflessness of phenomena, are complete, the result of abandoning and realizing special qualities is achieved. Such a boundary is reached by someone in the land of snow (Tibet)...
