Because of focusing on pleasure etc. from garlands etc. Therefore, since cloth and so on are not even formed as parts of minute particles, the pleasure etc. arising from them do not exist independently elsewhere. Someone says: Pleasure etc. do not need to rely on cloth etc., because they are the nature of the principal, which is permanent. If so, then pleasure etc. should be able to be focused on as something that is permanent and unchanging. What pleasure etc. can be focused on? Because it is impossible to deviate from its original nature. If that is the case, it is not reasonable because there is never a permanent object of focus. If pleasure etc. always exist, but there is a difference between clarity and non-clarity, so it is not certain that they are always focused on, if you say so, if pleasure etc. are never clear, then no one will know them, so they should not exist, but you do not admit that. If there is a time when pleasure etc. are clear, then why is experience not always perceived? Because pleasure etc. are able to be focused on, and pervade the object of focus, and are permanent, like a lamp in front of a sighted person. If the gross, clear pleasure etc. become subtle and unclear, existing as the nature of energy, and cannot be experienced, if you say so, how can the constant, single pleasure etc. be both of the contradictory states of subtle and gross? If you say that there is no fault because the original gross characteristic is abandoned and it becomes subtle, then the pleasure etc. that have become the nature of subtle and gross are proven to be impermanent. If you admit that the clear pleasure etc. abandon their previous state and become something else, then why not consider all twenty-five objects to be impermanent, since it is impossible for anything to always be focused on in only one way. So it is said. If even when becoming subtle and gross, the nature of pleasure is not abandoned, so it does not diminish from permanence, if you say so, are grossness and pleasure different or the same? If the former, then even if grossness ceases, the clarity of pleasure will not cease, and it should always be experienced. If you consider grossness itself to be not other than pleasure, but one, then the clarity of pleasure is necessarily proven to be impermanent. To this, someone says: Even if pleasure becomes unclear, it is latent in the space of the principal as the nature of energy, and when it becomes clear again, it is only the manifestation of what was previously there. If something that was completely non-existent before arises

Because it doesn't exist, it's not a reason. For example, like a rabbit's horn from clay. Therefore, if it is thought that whatever appears, it is necessarily present in the space of the self-nature principal, then, if all fruits exist at the time of the cause, why is it always not observed? If you say that it is only that in the realm of consciousness, it was not clear before, but later it became clear, just like a vase in a dark room is illuminated by a lamp. Then, your fundamental reasoning collapses. Because manifestation is not present at the time of the cause, but is newly produced, even if you do not want or admit it, in fact it is so. If manifestation exists at the time of the cause, then the distinction between manifestation and non-manifestation cannot be established, because it should be manifest from the beginning. Therefore, this contradicts your own commitment. Moreover, it is contrary to reason. If the fruit truly exists in the cause, then when you eat food, you become eating impure things. Furthermore, use the money to buy cloth to buy cotton seeds, and then extract cotton from it and make clothes to wear, and your doctrine will be established. To this, they say, in reality, the fruit exists in the cause, but because the darkness of ignorance obscures the eyes, the world does not see it. If it is said that the knowledge of the suchness of the fruit existing in the cause is established by the teachers of the Samkhya school, then, if the world also has this knowledge, why can't it be seen when the causes are complete? According to your statement, in general, the knowledge of knowing suchness transformed into fruit must be possessed by all sentient beings, and if you also accept the Samkhya view that the fruit exists in the cause, then they should also eat food without eating impure things, and want clothes to buy cotton without seeking cotton seeds, haven't you seen it? At no time or place has the view of enjoying suchness as you have done been seen, so this is a harm. They say, because the views of the world are not valid, this does no harm. Then, the world's clear seeing of the nature of the fruit will also become false. If that is false, then the statement "This cause has this fruit, because it later clearly manifests" becomes meaningless. They say, if the measurer is false, so the measured cannot be established, then you, the Madhyamika, the knowledge of the measurer is also not established as valid in the ultimate truth.
