The earth should also be the cause of producing eye consciousness and so on. Destruction and non-destruction are also the same in meaning. Fourth, in the mindfulness of dharma, all dharmas are generally shown as unborn, and the three of cause, effect, and nature are examined separately. The first part includes the main text and refutation. First part: As mentioned before, the arising of all conditioned and unconditioned dharmas cannot be realized, because they are unborn. Whatever is unborn does not have abiding and so on. In reality, no cessation is unborn, no cut off is impermanent, no coming is no going, neither different nor one. Just like this. The second part includes: refuting the untenable thesis, refuting the untenable proof. First part: If, like this, all knowable dharmas do not have the slightest arising and ceasing etc. in any way, then the conventional, which has the nature of arising, ceasing, coming, and going etc., would not exist. If someone does not accept the conventional, then there is no ultimate either, so how can the two truths exist? It would become one truth. Establishing the truth as two truths is only a means to guide sentient beings into the path. In the ultimate, there is no distinction between the two truths, but only the inconceivable dharmadhatu, suchness, is the ultimate reality. As the sutra says: Unborn is the only truth, but some say there are four truths. If one abides under the Bodhi tree, one cannot even realize one truth, how can one see four truths? Just like this. In the ultimate, there is no establishment of two truths, but it exists in name, because it is determined as two ways of appearing and existing. As mentioned before, this is the two truths. Again, someone says: Like this, in the case of establishing two truths, if the conventional object, which is one of them, does not have its own characteristics, then the conventional must be established by the minds of others. If it is established by the minds of others, then sentient beings will not be liberated from suffering, because the number of sentient beings is endless, and the mind will not be exhausted. If the mind is not exhausted, then the conventional established by the mind will not be exhausted, therefore, nirvana, in which all the elaborations of grasping and being grasped are exhausted, will never exist. If you think like this, then this conventional appearance that never changes is actually the power of the respective conceptual elaborations of other sentient beings.

It is like illusions, hair combs, and dreams. This is not the conventional truth that appears to the Nirvana-attainer himself. Therefore, since there is the dualistic appearance of others, it is not the case that one does not enter Nirvana. How could it be that when one's grasping and apprehended dissolve into the realm of reality, the grasping and apprehended of all disappear? In sleep, although there are no self-characterized objects such as wild animals and rivers that are not established by the power of thought, the sleep appearances of each awakened person cease. Just as the sleep appearance of others does not harm the awakened one. As it says in the "Entering the Middle Way": "How is it when awake, and how is it when not awake? When not awake, there are three things; when awake, all three are not there. It is the same as waking from the sleep of delusion." Therefore, even the subtle habitual imprints of grasping and apprehended dualistic appearances are reversed. Even after attaining Buddhahood in the realm of Nirvana, if there must be conventional elaborations such as birth, then there are conventionalities or elaborations relative to oneself. If it is not like that, then all conventional elaborations are absent, so it is Nirvana. As it says in the "Entering the Middle Way": "When the dry firewood of knowable things is completely burned, that peace is the Dharmakaya of the Victors. At that time, there is no birth and no cessation. The cessation of mind is the body that is directly realized." As it says, like the net of elaborations such as birth is completely pacified, like a fire with exhausted fuel, the flow of mind and mental factors completely reverses, and the realm of reality appears empty.
