巴拉拉多（ba la rad rod）多也好。头盖骨光滑则人缘好，重量大则福德增盛，形状好则财富聚集，深度深则食物聚集，厚且平整则享受稳固，清澈且坚硬则佛法增盛，内部纹路繁盛则政治和佛法增盛，顶孔笔直通透则后代智慧明亮。所有凸起都在外面，所有凹陷都在里面。远远看去粗糙且锐利，靠近看去光滑、坚硬且光亮为好，反之则不好。像酥油里撒了芥菜籽一样斑驳陆离也属好兆头。凸起和凹陷好的那些，在自身位置好，在外面则不好。骨缝像丝线缝合一样则长寿，像枪杆一样则短命。长寿和短命的征兆，在自己这边对自己，在敌人那边对敌人进行判断。骨缝出现卍（藏文：གཡུང་དྲུང་།，梵文天城体：स्वस्तिक，梵文罗马拟音：svastika，汉语字面意思：吉祥）和伞、宝座等的形状则好，绳索、矛头等则不好。总之，内外任何地方都没有坏处，且吉祥的特征明显，具备这些特征的头盖骨，就像令人喜爱的妻子一样，仅仅看到就心生欢喜；像珍贵的珠宝一样，拿在手里有重量感；像听到美妙的音乐一样，放在胸前，内心感到快乐舒畅。像这样的好头盖骨，仅仅看到和触摸到，就能在那一天实现愿望，更何况是经常持有呢？是招引殊胜成就的特殊物品。具有特征的特殊头盖骨，会随着自己的福德增减以及与之相应，在所有不好的时候，颜色和纹路都会发生变化。还有，头盖骨外后方的额头双角骨头明显突出，牙齿尖端朝向后方敌人的方向，则称为象牙，持有此物能战胜敌人。瑜伽士观察寿命长短时，从自己持有的头盖骨的肩胛骨交界处开始，顺时针方向到后脑勺中心，用拇指依次测量，一指算五年，总共观察一百年。哪里出现蛀孔，就预示着会生病等情况。现在开始讲述不宜持有的不好征兆：

It is good to have many "ba la rad rod". If the skull is smooth, people will be kind. If it is heavy, merit will increase. If the shape is good, wealth will accumulate. If it is deep, food will accumulate. If it is thick and even, enjoyment will be stable. If it is clear and hard, Dharma will increase. If the inner patterns are abundant, politics and Dharma will increase. If the cranial foramen is straight and clear, the descendants will have bright wisdom. All protrusions should be on the outside, and all depressions should be on the inside. It is good if it looks rough and sharp from a distance, but smooth, hard, and bright when viewed up close. The opposite is bad. It is also a good sign if it is mottled like mustard seeds sprinkled on butter. The good protrusions and depressions are good in their own places, but bad if they are on the outside. If the bone seams are like silk threads sewn together, it indicates longevity. If they are like spear shafts, it indicates a short life. The signs of longevity and short life should be judged in relation to oneself in one's own place, and in relation to the enemy in the enemy's place. It is good if the bone seams have the shape of a swastika (藏文：གཡུང་དྲུང་།，梵文天城体：स्वस्तिक，梵文罗马拟音：svastika，汉语字面意思：auspicious), an umbrella, or a throne, etc. Ropes and spearheads, etc., are bad. In short, a skull that has no defects inside or out and has auspicious characteristics is like a beloved wife, pleasing to the eye just by seeing it; like a precious jewel, it feels heavy when held in the hand; like hearing pleasant music, it brings joy and comfort to the heart when placed on the chest. Such a good skull, just by seeing and touching it, can fulfill one's wishes on that day, let alone holding it regularly? It is a special object that attracts supreme accomplishments. Special skulls with characteristics will change in color and pattern in all bad times, according to the increase or decrease of one's own merit and in accordance with it. Also, if the bones of the two horns on the forehead on the outer back of the skull protrude prominently, and the tips of the teeth point towards the enemy's direction in the back, it is called an elephant tusk, and holding this will lead to victory over enemies. When a yogi examines the length of life, starting from the junction of the scapula of the skull he holds, he measures clockwise to the center of the back of the head with his thumb, counting one finger as five years, and examines up to a total of one hundred years. Wherever a wormhole appears, it indicates the occurrence of illness, etc. Now, I will explain the bad signs that should not be held:

There are sixteen that should not be taken but discarded. In this way, in order: Three bad sections cause three lower realms. 1. Three bad colors also diminish the earth. 2. Bad lines cause bad lineage. 3. Double lines kill oneself. 4. An elephant's back turns into disease. 5. A crow's footprint is bad, causing much strife. 6. A single tree causes extinction. 7. A drilled hole causes illness. 8. A revived corpse makes horses and livestock disappear. 9. A grave hole causes short life and theft of wealth. 10. A wormhole causes bad retinue and hatred among people. 11. Roots cause thieves to separate from each other. 12. Worm tracks cause evil spirits to enter food. 13. A shaded hole causes the protective deity to rise as an enemy. 14. It will become a yogi performing town rituals. The remains of a corpse are a source of bad luck. 15. The characteristics of a bad hole are: 16. Without a hole, one's own intelligence is dull. Bad retinue, foolish and stuttering children will arise. It is impossible to become a wise teacher. If there are many holes, accomplishments disappear. Women and hermaphrodites have no Brahma aperture. Those with many holes should be discarded. That is, the sixth, seventh, and eighth sections are the three bad sections. The three bad colors are bluish-gray, bluish-black, and golden-black. The so-called bad lines refer to those where the color, shape, and outline are bad from the outside, and inside there are six defective lines such as iron hooks, ropes, iron chains, sticks, hammers, swords, and enemy gods. Furthermore, there are shapes similar to tridents and wrathful deities, or letters of Yama Raja appearing, etc. Whoever holds such a bad skull is close to the Lord of Death. Or placing the wheel of Yama Raja, or for fierce objects such as opening the mouth of the Lord of Death. Furthermore, snake marks, bird tracks, dog tracks, insect tracks, etc., even if not the place of the deceased and enemies, the above occurrences are inauspicious signs. Poisonous snakes, frogs, lizards, and foxes, jackals, etc., inauspicious animal images, and skulls with lines of Matram's image, that must be possessed by gods and demons. The person who holds it will be harmed by ghosts and spirits. Furthermore, the top of the tree pattern is curved and broken, because it is short and does not reach the Brahma aperture. The trunk is black, without branches. The lines are complex, crooked, lying horizontally, without flowers and fruits. Rough and ugly, similar to the scene of a graveyard, etc.
