Neither I nor sentient beings will be abandoned. If even the term "Ultimate Truth" does not exist, how can there be words pointing out "it is like this"? If we examine the meaning as explained above, then in the category of Ultimate Truth, terms such as "unborn and unceasing," "equality itself," "non-duality," "beyond thought," "emptiness," "dharmadhatu," "beyond expression," "free from names," and so on, are all just guiding terms. For the true definitive meaning, there is neither Ultimate Truth nor obscuration or conventional truth. If it were not just a term, but if the path itself were pointed out in the manner of Ultimate Truth, then that itself would be an obscuration, not Ultimate Truth. If it were truly real, how could there be a distinction between the two truths, conventional and ultimate? There would not be, there is none. Secondly: For those who have not seen the truth and have doubts, and for those who have seen the truth and have no doubts, in any case, if it were truly real, there would be no distinction between true and false, so one would not abandon the false and abide in the true. Why? Because if it were truly real, the nature of the meditator and the object of realization, the dharmadhatu, would not be established, because they are non-existent. So who would have doubts about what? Therefore, there is no need to regard the dharma without doubt as supreme, because the scriptures say that one should avoid attachment to dharma that is in accordance with the scriptures and avoid hatred towards dharma that is not in accordance with the scriptures. Thirdly: As explained above, if one examines all the limits of phenomena, it will be found that their nature cannot even be established as mere illusion, so one might think: although it is not existent, is it something that is non-existent? If existence is not established, then whose non-existence is it? Because these non-existences are relative to existence, non-existence is also non-existent. Thus, although it is not a negation of existence, is it completely non-existent? For things that are unborn by nature or completely non-existent, it is not possible to establish a name of "non-existence," because for things that have no seeing or hearing, and for which nothing exists as their essence, no one thinks that it does not exist, and no one says that it does not exist. As explained above, since all limits are non-existent, then who would have a center? The center is also non-existent, and because there is no center, one does not abide in the center either. Secondly, equal conduct: For any dharma, even if one has the power to rule over all the desirable qualities of the world and has perfect sovereignty, one is not defiled by faults, like a lotus.

Acting without abandoning anything, because reasons, faults, and merits are all exactly the same without difference, being alike and not distinguishing, abiding in equality. If there are no sentient beings, then who would be deluded? Therefore, thoroughly realize that seeing delusion in the undeluded Dharma is itself delusion. Therefore, know that the teachings taught by the six heretical teachers, as well as the afflictions such as killing and the actions of demons, are neither identifiable nor abandonable, and thus do not abandon them and do not think of them as evil. The practice of wisdom and means is also such that, because its characteristics are not established and it does not abide, it is equal and similar to the actions of demons without arising duality. To think that being free from all views is to look at the true meaning is like engaging in grasping, thinking that one's own knowledge is the realization of truth. If one holds this as supreme and overcomes everything, arrogance arises from that view. If attachment arises towards one's own view and hatred arises towards other views, then ignorance arises from mutual disputes, because there is no such thing as truth. Therefore, holding one's own view as true and holding other views as false because there is no falsehood are both thoughts that do not conform to reality. Therefore, one does not see the true meaning of not fixating on either truth or falsehood. Third, summarizing the meaning, explaining the mind of enlightenment: As long as there is mental agitation such as existence and non-existence, truth and falsehood, appearance and non-appearance in the world, that is the realm of activity of demons, which is a subtle path that is difficult to realize. If one says to abide without wavering, then even the term "thoughts and characteristics waver" and "do not waver" does not abide in that state, and one does not abide in that state. Therefore, what need is there to say about abiding in the state of "not wavering"? In this way, the feeling of experience and the cessation of feeling, and the absence of appearance grasped by the notion of "yes and no," is the non-abiding Middle Way. Therefore, by thinking about that meaning in that way, one attains unsurpassed enlightenment. Therefore, the Sugata taught the "mind of enlightenment." The seventh general meaning, having thus determined, in order to meditate on the definitive meaning, is divided into two parts: explaining the opposing factors of meditation, and explaining its antidote, that is, explaining the meaning of meditation without error. The first part is: meditating on non-conceptualization is without acceptance or rejection, and its opposing factor is clinging to forms and so on, and to characteristics and aspirations.
