Unmanifest! The four consciousnesses are the nature of the four Bodhisattvas: eye consciousness is Kshitigarbha, ear consciousness is Vajrapani, nose consciousness is Akashagarbha, and tongue consciousness is Avalokiteshvara. The four objects are the nature of the four goddesses who delight and create beauty in the four consciousnesses: form is the charming woman, sound is the singing woman, scent is the garland woman, and taste is the dancing woman. The four faculties are the nature of the four Bodhisattvas: eye faculty is Maitreya, ear faculty is Sarvanivaranaviskambhin, nose faculty is Samantabhadra, and tongue faculty is Manjushri. The four times are the nature of the four offering goddesses: past time is the incense woman, present time is the flower woman (梵文天城体:पुष्पे,梵文罗马拟音:puṣpe,汉语字面意思:花),future time is the bright light woman, and uncertain time is the scented water woman. The body's faculty and consciousness, the object of touch and the touch arising from it, the great bliss Bodhicitta is the nature of the four wrathful ones. That is, the secret vajra of the body faculty unites with the object, subduing other consciousnesses and not remaining, therefore it is established as the four great powerful wrathful ones: touch is Amrita Kundali, the body faculty that touches is Hayagriva, the object of touch is Mahabala, and touch consciousness is Yama. The four extremes of permanence and annihilation are the nature of the four wrathful mothers: clinging to permanence is the pure iron hook woman, similarly clinging to annihilation is the noose woman, clinging to self is the iron chain woman, and clinging to characteristics is the bell woman. Mind consciousness is the indivisible vajra-like mind with the nature of Bodhi, the nature of Samantabhadra without any dharma to be abandoned. The object of that mind, conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, is the nature of the Dharma-activity mother, Samantabhadri. These are also the nature of being primordially, manifestly, and perfectly enlightened Buddhas, not newly accomplished through the path. Thus, by quoting scriptures from one's own lineage, in order to quote other statements that are in accordance with this, what appears in the three mandalas is also shown as the single essence of the self-born wisdom bindu of the root Bodhicitta. Thus, all conditioned and unconditioned dharmas of the ten directions, three times, and three realms, etc., are not separate from one's own mind, as it is said: In the realization of the Victorious One of the Three Realms, one's own mind is not inverted, or individually realized according to the power of wisdom, that is the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, etc.

If one realizes this, it is Buddhahood. If one does not realize it, it appears as the vessel and essence of samsara, which is the three realms. The great elements are also like that. Thus it is said. As it is said in the Guhyasamaja Tantra: All dharmas abide in the mind. Thus, whatever appears is merely the appearance of one's own mind. The mind abides in space. Thus it is said, the nature of mind is unborn, like space. Space is free from all characteristics, therefore it does not abide in anything. Thus it is said. And in another scripture it says: All dharmas are free from the distinction of subject and object, therefore, in the manner of "this is empty of that," it is empty of inherent existence because it is free from all distinctions. All dharmas, the stain of afflictions has never been established, therefore it is primordially pure. All dharmas, the darkness of obscuration has never been established, therefore it is completely luminous. All dharmas, because there is no incompatibility and no antidote, it is naturally nirvana. All dharmas, because it is free from the decrease of the two obscurations and the accumulation of the two accumulations, it is manifestly and perfectly enlightened. Thus it is said. This is the Great Perfection. At this point, the old root commentary is completed. The way of the Great Perfection is: the completion of the accumulation of merit and wisdom, the way in which the dharmas of the fruition are spontaneously accomplished, this is entering into the meaning. Thus it is also said. In the second aspect, it is explained in four ways: four realizations, three characteristics, four limbs, and the sequence of entering the mandala. That is, the four realizations are the way of the object, established as the basis of definition; the three characteristics are the way of means, established as its characteristics; the four approaches and accomplishments are the way of the result, established as the mantra to be repeated; the way of entering the spontaneously accomplished mandala is established as the sequence of entry. Among these, the single taste of essence and the way of letters are the way of the object; realizing the blessing is the way of means; manifest realization is the way of the result. Similarly, for the three characteristics, the characteristic of knowing is the way of the object; the characteristic of entering is the way of means; the characteristic of the result is the way of the result. For the four approaches and accomplishments, the approach is the way of the object; the near approach and accomplishment are the way of means; the great accomplishment is the way of the result.
