Therefore, it is possible to destroy the evil words of the opposing debaters without any hindrance, just like darkness before the rising sun in a cloudless sky. For example, the Samkhya school, which claims that the fruit exists by its own nature, the Vaisheshika school, which claims that it does not exist, and the naked Jaina school, which claims that it both exists and does not exist, and so on. Their views do not accord with the reality of things, so they have no प्रमाण (pramāṇa, measure, प्रमाण), while the Madhyamaka school's view accords with the reasoning that arises from the power of things, so it is effortless to refute their views and is very powerful. Second, 'That which does not accept existence, non-existence, or both, even with diligent effort, cannot be blamed in any way.' It is said. From the time of childhood until the wisdom of omniscience, the experience of mere appearance, the infallible dependent origination, is undeniable. Because these things have no self-nature, those who do not accept any of the four extremes—asserting that things are absolutely existent, asserting that things are absolutely non-existent, asserting that things are both existent and non-existent, and asserting that there is a basis that is neither existent nor non-existent—even with great effort motivated by a strong desire to find fault, cannot make any accusation, just like trying to pierce the sky. Thus, having completely refuted the views of those who have objects of focus, and abiding in the Madhyamaka path that is completely free from all views, if one thinks that all phenomena have no substance, like flowers in the sky, then the terms distinguishing what is seen and heard, distinguishing between noble and non-noble beings, and establishing philosophical tenets are contradictory, then such an accusation will only become meaningless words. As Aryadeva also said, 'For any side, existence, non-existence, both existence and non-existence, one cannot make accusations, even for a long time.' Second, the extensive explanation is divided into two: refuting arguments about ultimate truth and refuting arguments about conventional truth. The first is divided into not making any commitments to the ultimate truth that is free from the four extremes of elaboration, and refuting arguments against it. The first is divided into explaining the ultimate truth that is differentiated and involves commitments, and explaining the ultimate truth that is undifferentiated and free from all commitments. The first is divided into reason and scripture.
