It is not pervasive and all-pervasive, but as long as there is a relationship, this reasoning can refute all views that there is a single reality. Therefore, the so-called "pervasive general characteristic" is merely a distinction that excludes other things, and it is not established in meaning. For example, when we see something with branches and leaves, by excluding other things, we call it a "tree," which is just giving it a general name. It also follows the various particulars of different times and places. If we cling to this general characteristic as a self-characteristic, mixing appearance and naming together, then by negating the general characteristic, we can avoid negating the particular characteristics, and the faults of whether the two are one or different. Therefore, the one-sided difference that appears to be different from other things is the general characteristic; while the two-sided difference that appears to be different from other things and all similar things of oneself falls into the self-characteristic, which is the particular characteristic. But these two are also just nominally established as one on many dharmas, so it is impossible for a single reality to exist. The reason why space is not established as a real entity will be explained later. Second, refuting the non-pervasive single reality is divided into: refuting the single reality of external objects, and refuting the single reality of consciousness. The first is further divided into: refuting the coarse single reality and refuting the single reality of atoms. The first: "Because there are things that are covered and uncovered, etc., Coarse things are also not unique." As it is said. The so-called coarse is the part where many extremely small particles gather. Whether it is the inner body, etc., or the outer pots, felts, houses, mountains, continents, Mount Sumeru, the great thousand worlds, etc., anything that appears is like this. Because these things have differences such as objects covered and uncovered by clothes, etc., coarse things are also not the real one. For example, taking the body as an example, there are parts covered by clothes and parts not covered. Similarly, in the "etc." category, it includes moving and not moving, being changed by color and not being changed, burning and not burning, and many other incompatible dharmas, how can they become a single nature? If it is said that covering and not covering, etc., are for limbs, legs, etc., and not for those with limbs, then, is the so-called having limbs the same as or different from the limbs? If they are the same, then it is established as existing in many different dharmas; if they are different, then it must be able to appear, but it cannot be clearly seen.

It is obstructed and blocked. Furthermore, both of them become unrelated like a vase. If it is said that those two are related by the nature of combination, is it not necessary to observe them separately? If the relationship of the foot to the body and the relationship of the hand to the body are not the same, then the coarse things cannot be one. If it is one, then because of observing multiple natures, the contradiction exists even more in it. Therefore, the so-called "possessor of limbs" is merely a fabrication of the mind that clings to the collection of many limbs as one, and it is not a truly existing whole, so the various names are reasonable. Otherwise, if the "possessor of limbs" truly exists, then the analysis of the unity or difference of the limbs and the whole would not be possible. Second, to explain the reasoning for refuting atoms, and to explain that by refuting atoms, many things are refuted. The first part includes stating the opponent's view and refuting it. First, the scripture says, "Adhering or surrounding, or existing without interval is also acceptable." Here, whether it is the five objects and five faculties, that is, these ten realms of form, appearing as coarse things can be broken down into multiple parts, and they occupy each other's space, and are seen as having the nature of accumulating many obstacles, so they can be broken down to the extent of atoms. For example, a clay pot becomes fragments, fragments become powder, and the powder is also divided into coarse and fine. In this way, things with form can be divided into fragments, so they can be named "form." In reality, because it has the nature of obstruction and contact, it is not like consciousness that can be grasped, and can be harmed, so it is called "form," just like saying "the shape of a knife." If it is thought that atoms do not have this nature, then it is not a problem that coarse things have this nature. According to the view that does not acknowledge consciousness as form, because it can cause harm to the basis, it can also be called that. Generally speaking, sound has both expressive and inclusive meanings, or only one of them, there are three cases in total. Therefore, something that can become "form" can also be called "the nature of form." And from "form," the coarser one, which is the object seen by the eye, is specifically called "form." Those objects are broken down from coarse to fine, and finally reach the finest, indivisible degree, which is called an atom. And from that
