Because it will not be seen by the earth, those who are respectful of this teaching should not speak in that way. Although this occasion is very important, no matter how one explains this profound essence that is difficult to understand, it is like shooting an arrow into the sky, and one cannot find a place for the mind of a child to enter. Therefore, there is no point in saying much. In order not to miss the key to this way, one should generate certainty in the reasoning of the union of the two truths. First, establish that all appearances are emptiness. Then, believe in the way that emptiness appears as dependent arising. Then, based on the way that emptiness and dependent arising are united, in which emptiness appears while being empty, and appearance is empty while appearing, experience this equality free from elaboration in a way that has not been experienced. Therefore, in order to negate attachment to existence, one speaks of external emptiness, etc.; and in order to negate attachment to the non-existence that is negated in that way, one speaks of emptiness of emptiness, etc. The way of being free from all extremes as spoken of is this ultimate truth that is not nominal. Among them, the Svatantrikas, due to the power of their minds, first temporarily cling to the nominal ultimate truth, because this clinging to reality deceives existence, and its object is not true. Therefore, in the ultimate truth, there is nothing that is established by its own nature, and they greatly value the way of clinging to non-affirming negation in this way. Although these people negate the four extremes, they do not negate them without adding distinctions such as ultimate truth or self-nature, or true establishment. They separate the two truths and speak separately about the way to eliminate the extremes of existence and non-existence. Due to that way, there arises the clinging to non-existence that is not established in the ultimate truth, and the thought that in the conventional, things are established by their own characteristics, and if one clings to them as not established, it will become a slander of conventional appearances. Thus, there is both clinging to existence and clinging to non-existence. Among them, nominal non-arising is merely the opposite of arising. So, how can it not be contradictory that arising and non-arising contradict each other in a way that mutually excludes each other on the same basis? If one thinks so, then although a sprout arises from a seed, there is no true arising, and the establishment of self-characteristics in name is also not truly established. This is because it is considered from the perspective of the conventional of the way of appearance and the ultimate of the way of existence. Therefore, not only is there no contradiction, but it is very reasonable and is the nature of things.

Therefore, it is clearly proven from the power. These two ways do not contradict each other, and if either is established in the face of a valid cognizer, neither will ever refute the opposite of what it has determined. Therefore, it is also reasonable to establish each of their proofs as autonomous syllogisms. Therefore, clinging to each of the two truths, and accepting them as their own tenets, there is also an acceptance of autonomous syllogisms, although not in the ultimate sense, but in the conventional sense, this is their view. Thus, the aspect of clinging to each of the two truths is the non-common object of refutation of the consequentialists. If the autonomists were to be free from the object of refutation of clinging to each of the two truths, then the consequentialists and others would have nothing to extract from that view. It should be known that it is never easy to establish with reason that there is something to cut off more elaboration than being free from all acceptance of the freedom from the four extremes. Therefore, as long as there is clinging and the two truths have not become one, then as long as it has not gone beyond the scope of the discriminating mind, one will not attain the characteristic of the Prajnaparamita that is free from the two extremes of imputation and denial, that is, non-discriminating wisdom. Therefore, the consequentialists have established from the beginning the union of appearance and emptiness, free from elaboration. Although there is no ultimate establishment there, the clinging that thinks that it is established by its own characteristic only in the conventional sense has been refuted by reason. From clinging to the difference that the two truths are each abiding in their own place, it will become the two truths mixed into one. In this way, all the ways of clinging to existence and non-existence, etc., will disappear. In this way, according to this school, it is not necessary to add the differences of the two truths of ultimate establishment and ultimate reality, etc., to the four extremes, because the objects of clinging to the four extremes have been cut off, so the ultimate state of great emptiness that is free from the object of the cognizing mind and all acceptance is in accordance with the meditative wisdom of the noble ones. Even so, in the subsequent attainment, it is also very reasonable to establish all the phenomena of the path and the fruit without harm, as measured by the valid cognition of the two truths. Therefore, for the consequentialists, one should not take it for granted that there is or is not acceptance, but should distinguish and explain, this is the uncommon view of the omniscient Longchen Rabjam.
