The source of all these, the Mother Prajnaparamita, how to practice yoga is that, in the position of ordinary beings, one cuts off superimpositions through hearing and thinking, and solely abides in the special definitive understanding led by reason. One should know that. Thus, establishing the principle of the two truths is not merely the view of individual schools, but the common great path of the Mahayana. Because all dharmas are empty of inherent existence and are merely nominal appearances, they do not accept any cause other than mind. As it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: "Due to beginningless discrimination, the mind is like an image. Although it appears as the form of an object, it does not truly see the object." Thus, it shows that there is no external object, only mind. It also says: "The continuum of the person, the aggregates, the conditions, and likewise the atoms, the chief, the powerful creator, are all discriminated by the mind." Thus, it shows that there is no other agent, only mind. As the latter says, this beginningless and endless existence with various appearances is not causeless and self-arisen. For this, there is no other agent such as time, atoms, power, and self, but merely saying that it arises from the power of one's own mind is no different from any vehicle of the Mahayana of the inner Buddhist path. Chandrakirti also said: "Only the mind can establish the sentient world and the vast container world. All sentient beings are said to arise from karma. Without mind, there is no karma." Thus, he said. If someone says that these appearances of existence do not arise from one's own mind, then one must admit that its cause is separate from the mind. In that case, it is equivalent to admitting another cause that binds and liberates the minds of ordinary beings, and one will undoubtedly fall into the tenets of the heretics. Therefore, because there is no other agent and no external object, but merely the appearance of the mind, one can gradually achieve it. Therefore, the view that nominal existence is only mind is established in the common view of the Mahayana. Then, why didn't glorious Chandrakirti and others establish nominal existence in this way? Because, as mentioned above, it is not in the manner of nominal existence, but in the samadhi wisdom of the ultimate noble ones.

If it is determined that it is in accordance with the use of the land, then for all the phenomena of appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, it is enough to measure them as they appear and are heard in the world, without examination or analysis. Because all of this is originally abiding in the vastness free from the four extremes, there is no need to conduct detailed sectarian analysis on the appearance of names. For the appearance, is it measured by sound concepts, saying it exists? Does it not exist? Is it mind? Is it not mind? And so on, no matter which aspect is accepted, it cannot be established in reality because of that, so in the ultimate truth, refuting wrong views with the reductio ad absurdum of reasoning is only refutation. Because the self-system has no conceptual fixation, it is not known what to accept or not to accept. If that is the case, then no matter what commitment is made to existence or non-existence, it can be refuted without having to separate the two truths. Because if the two truths are measured here with their respective valid cognitions, they cannot be distinguished and established. But here, because it is measured by using the intellect that examines the nature of the union of the two ultimate truths that are non-nominal as a valid cognition. As it is said in the Commentary on Entering the Middle Way: "In the ultimate truth, there are no two truths, monks, this supreme truth is only one." Therefore, the abbot Chandrakirti from the beginning emphasized the ultimate truth that is non-nominal and determined it, so the appearance of this mere condition cannot be prevented, is this mere point the object of investigation? Or is it the method or gateway to realizing the ultimate truth? Therefore, only taking this as the focus of the dispute, it is determined as the vast freedom from elaboration. Then, in the subsequent attainment, for the establishment of the path and the fruit, just as they are measured by the two valid cognitions, there is no harm in the names of refutation and establishment. Moreover, this is only accepting this condition, or only dependent origination. If this condition is measured with the valid cognition of names, then it is not that it does not acknowledge the way in which the cycle of existence and liberation are accomplished by the arising and ceasing of the twelve links, but because it shows that the nature of mind arises dependently on the other-poweredness of purity and impurity, it is clarifying the view of the Mind-Only school. In the abbot's treatise, the ultimate truth of names is emphasized, first distinguishing the two truths, and then using their respective valid cognitions.
