The meaning of conventional truth is: Because it is guided by the other companion connected to the companion of the conventional existence, or because it belongs to the category of ultimate truth, it is a designation, that is, it is to be counted as the companion of the conventional truth in the two truths. Is this merely a path that is in accordance with the ultimate truth? Or, because through habituation, it is able to destroy the clinging to things that is enhanced by the power of the habitual imprints from beginningless time, it is also ultimate truth. From its perspective, it should also be known that there is a commitment to "no arising." Even if the study of it reaches its limit, it is only the way in which the subsequent ascertainment arises. In terms of the ultimate reality of the true state, the "no arising" that is guided by arising is also merely an image of the conceptual thought that eliminates others with the mind. Therefore, the wisdom of the noble meditative equipoise, which transcends all extremes such as arising and non-arising, and abandons all objects of speech and conceptual thought, is the unsurpassed ultimate truth that is free from distinctions, and its extremely pure vision. From its perspective, it is also free from all commitments. The conventional truth is close to and similar to this, so it is also counted as a category of ultimate truth, and is called the similar ultimate truth. Whoever comes into contact with such a method through meditation and experience, whatever name they may give, such as consequentialist or autonomist, depending on the way in which that person makes subsequent commitments. It should be known that there is not the slightest difference in the height or depth of realization, and the vision of the noble ones converges on one essential point. This is important, so it will be explained a little more below when it is needed. The cause of such wisdom of the noble meditative equipoise is nothing other than thoroughly understanding the two truths without error. For example, just as it is impossible for fire to arise from either the rubbing stick or the rubbing base alone without the two being together, here too, if these two methods are not combined, certainty about being free from the four extremes will not arise, so even if it is said to be "beyond thought and expression," it is impossible to reach the depths of the Dharma through the wisdom of individual self-awareness, just like meditating on an inexpressible self. Therefore, one should cultivate the eye of hearing and thinking that is inseparable from the correct reasoning, generate certainty, and then experience it by meditating on its meaning. Do not just stare with wide eyes, saying "free from extremes" and "beyond expression" without generating certainty.

These are merely names, filled with arrogance, and only fixated on appearances. If this harms the political power, then wouldn't many secret practitioners, like Dumaromni, also be liberated through this path? Therefore, like the tracks of a great chariot, the faultless reasoning that distinguishes between conventional and ultimate truths should be combined with the fire of wisdom that unites the two, burning away all the fuel of appearances and knowable things, leaving nothing behind, and abiding in the equality of the boundless realm of Dharma. Just as fire is produced by rubbing wood, and then burns the wood and the drill itself, similarly, the fire of wisdom that unites the two truths also burns away the attachment to the separate truths, and abides in the realm of inseparable appearance and emptiness, free from all extremes of fixation. As it is said in the *Ratnagunasamucchaya*: "When conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, black and white dharmas, are all abandoned, and wisdom analyzes down to the finest dust, when no trace is seen, then it is called the perfection of wisdom in the world, like the sky, without any support. The Bodhisattva who practices in this way, the wise and clear one, cuts off attachment and goes without attachment to beings, like the sun freed from the eclipse of Rahu, like fire burning grass, trees, and forests. When the Bodhisattva sees the perfection of wisdom, all dharmas are naturally pure and completely pure, the agent is not seen, and all dharmas are not seen. This is the supreme practice of the perfection of wisdom." Thus, the abandonment of the four extremes of elaboration is only the domain of one's own wisdom, and cannot be thought or expressed by words and concepts. As it is said in the *Avatamsaka Sutra*: "Just as the path of a bird in the sky is difficult to speak of and cannot be shown, so too the realms of the sons of the Sugata cannot be known by the mind and intellect." Thus, the way in which the noble ones obtain clarity in the realm of Dharma is through progression from ground to ground, and ultimately, the direct realization of the realm of Dharma, free from all obscurations and extremes. As it is said in the *Lalitavistara Sutra*: "Profound, peaceful, free from dust, clear light, unconditioned, the nectar of Dharma, I have attained it. But even if I teach it, others will not understand, so I think it is better to remain silent in the forest." In short, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the three times
