If it is not the external object of another place, but one must accept the view of the Sautrantika-Svatantrika that body and mind are one substance, then what kind of Mind-Only proponent is there? Therefore, considering those fools who do not distinguish between place appearances, etc., and say that mountains, etc., are mind, the 'evil system of cultivators' is extensively prohibited in the Wish-Fulfilling Treasury. Some say, 'My lama said that after understanding selflessness, it is difficult to establish cause and effect, etc.' If you understand selflessness, what is difficult about establishing cause and effect? If you understand the absence of grasper and grasped, what is difficult about understanding that there is an object that appears as grasped? If selflessness is understood as nihilistic emptiness, then dependent arising cannot be established. If the understanding of the absence of grasper and grasped is wrong, then the object cannot be established. It seems that the learned lama said this. I think that is the correct instruction for you. Regarding self-awareness, you are accustomed to conceptual imputation with defective characteristics, and scolding others who disagree with it is like a sheep that has eaten unclean things. 'Only facing inward, the grasping aspect is scattered,' meaning that the grasping of objects is more pervasive than memory, and 'scattered' is impossible on the basis. Because in the self-experience without an object, where is there scattering? If there is, it will become the consciousness of other-experience, how can it be self-awareness? The grasped aspect is scattered, and the grasping aspect does not know itself, so the characteristic of knowing is also separated from clarity and awareness. If I were to write in detail according to the reasoning of the Commentary on Valid Cognition, it would be too long, so I will leave it for now. If it is consciousness, and if you think about its own nature, then consciousness pervades its own self-awareness. Because consciousness, which has merely turned away from matter, has become the nature of clarity and awareness, it is clear without relying on itself. If that is said to be the nature of self-awareness, then that is because all consciousnesses have it. As it says in the Drop of Reason, 'What is the nature of mind and mental factors knowing themselves?', etc., it is extensively explained in the Seven Treatises. However, if self-awareness is spoken of from the aspect of the grasping aspect, from the opposite aspect, it seems that consciousness is not pervaded by self-awareness. If the understanding of the explanation is not thorough, then it is a good understanding. Most Jamyang Sakyas hold that consciousness is pervaded by self-awareness without distinction, and hold the sound of the scripture as it is. If it is consciousness, it is self-awareness.

If it pervades, saying "If it is consciousness, then it pervades as non-conceptual" is, merely having heard the term "self-awareness is non-conceptual," the attitude of not being certain about the meaning of self-awareness at all. Even conceptual consciousness is conceptual because it relies on external objects, but in terms of inner self-awareness, there is no contradiction in being non-conceptual. As such, the content extensively explained in Dharmakirti's treatises, which has not been heard until now, is clear here. Now look, if you discuss with other wise people, wouldn't it be unsightly? Therefore, such a fallacy, like saying "If it is a pot, then it pervades as impermanent, if it is a pot, then it pervades as non-associated formations," such words of an attitude of not understanding the root, who would allow to be spoken so brazenly? At this time, all other fallacies can also be understood from this. Regarding the alaya-consciousness, Khenpo does not accept the eight consciousnesses, because it is not explicitly stated in the scriptures. If you accept it, then you must also accept the ninth consciousness, the stainless consciousness, they say. If the stainless consciousness refers to the Tathagatagarbha, then what is there that cannot be accepted? You prove the acceptance, and that would be excellent! Omniscient Longchenpa said that the Mind-Only proponents who accept the six consciousnesses believe that the place, things, and body appear from the non-conceptual mind. Like this, it also exists in some Indian treatises. According to that system, the alaya-consciousness is summarized into the mind-consciousness, thereby establishing the system of the six consciousnesses. But how could that make the alaya-consciousness disappear in conventional terms? Because, in the non-conceptual mind, there is the consciousness that only grasps the object of the mind, and the habit of grasping the place, things, and body, and the latter part divided into two parts of maturation, in reality, does not go beyond the scope of the alaya-consciousness. Otherwise, who can prove that there is the earlier part of the non-conceptual mind at the time of death and meditative absorption, etc.? Therefore, without thoroughly examining the profound intention of Gyalwang Longchenpa, I dare not say that he did not comprehend the tenets of Mind-Only. Because I am following this kind benefactor, and as the Buddha said, there is no possibility of harm from reason to one who has become a valid person, so what is the use of emulating the example of the son following the father, who would speak so brazenly like saying that sinful children are the executioners of their mothers? If you, shameless one, want to speak, then speak, and see what the power and ability of reason are.
