This is written in a delightful manner at the request of the person himself to remove the faults of the unlearned. Homage to Manjushri). For the sake of my own fame, to slightly surpass others, Writing hastily and with an arrogant attitude, etc., Not as the main thing, but with a mind of benefiting others, I have written this oral instruction that pleases Jamyang Khyentse (འཇམ་མགོན།). With various concepts repeating what others say, Therefore, it is composed with the name of the common meaning of Dharma. The motivation is good, understood from the words in between, The wisdom is clear, known from the meaning of the scripture, There is no arrogance, evident from the nature of the writing, The treatise is excellent, possessing a presumptuous universal foundation. Therefore, in front of witnesses who can distinguish good from bad, Although earnestly wanting to discuss, It is not appropriate if it turns into belittling the teacher, Admonished by the words of a virtuous person who follows the father's path. Still, to dispel doubts, urged to write in letters, Suppressing the words that evoke questions and various speculations, Regarding what people think in their minds and say in their mouths, Wanting to abide in solitude with one-pointedness, What is to be done by passing the days and nights meaninglessly? Briefly distinguishing the appearance of words. Firstly, regarding Madhyamaka, to say that each of the three, base, path, and result, is not Madhyamaka is completely confused. Master Dignāga (ཕྱོགས་གླང་།) and others consider the result Madhyamaka to be Madhyamaka by nature, and others as imputed. Some others consider the path Madhyamaka to be Madhyamaka by nature, and the other two as imputed. Still others consider the base Madhyamaka to be Madhyamaka by nature, although it is actually established, but those individual views can be established by reasoning. There, because of misunderstanding the union as conditioned phenomena, they grasp the ultimate truth of Madhyamaka as mere emptiness, and think that the so-called union is the gathering of appearance and emptiness like twisting a rope, which is merely showing self-identity. If that is the case, then the two truths are inseparable, and the ultimate truth is not ultimate, but will instead become relative truth again. Look at this understanding, it seems they do not understand Madhyamaka. Haha. One's own understanding is similar to the establishment of illusion by reasoning, and saying that the establishment of illusion by reasoning is not reasonable refers to the non-abiding Madhyamaka of union, and the establishment of illusion by reasoning, these two are famous like the wind in Tibet and China in the meditation stages of Master Hero (དཔའ་བོ།) and others. In the Wish-Fulfilling Treasury, even in the case of lower self-continuum, both truths are illusory.
