Seeing them in suffering, knowing that they are deceived by views, love arises. This symbolizes that when one has realized Suchness, one also sees others separated from the right path, repeatedly born in samsara, and without protectors. Great compassion naturally arises for them, unmixed with small differences, and increases immeasurably. The cause of great compassion lies in realizing the equality of self and others, and seeing others dwelling in the suffering of ignorance. To be free from the obstacles to compassion, which are based on universally tormenting thoughts, etc., one must be free from the defilement of self-grasping. Therefore, it is also established by the reasoning of complete causes and absence of obstacles. Thus, taking beings upon oneself based on the lineage of compassion, being free from the defilement of self-interest and the object of signs, the teaching of the Thus-Gone One, promising the household of the lineage of compassion, and bearing the burden of beings, is called one who possesses true love. Thus, whoever possesses compassion that desires to free others from suffering, seeing the increase of suffering and its causes, compassion increases even more, like fire fueled by wood. However, those who hate the ultimate Dharma dwell in the supreme cause of suffering. Thus, killing fish and birds, etc., is not a great enemy of oneself and others. Even if they are not killed, they are moved by the wind and are extremely impermanent like bubbles of water. It only amounts to killing a small number of purulent bodies that cannot benefit oneself in the slightest. However, those who hate the ultimate Dharma harm the Dharmakaya, which abides until the end of samsara, is adorned with the perfection of the benefit of oneself and others, and is connected with countless victors. Because it harms the seed of that Dharmakaya, which is faith in Suchness. Therefore, the ripening of abandoning the holy Dharma is often spoken of in the sutras as extremely unpleasant. Thus, the master Nagarjuna said: "Extremely vast and profound, lazy and extremely untrained, enemies of self and others, now out of ignorance, slander the Great Vehicle." As it is said. Therefore, those individuals who have not trained their lineage and intelligence, the more profound the Great Vehicle is, the more they fear and slander it.

The Sutra states: Relying on the seeming Prajñāpāramitā that is combined with one's own experience, many refutations arise, such as "This is not the Buddha's teaching," regarding the profound and immeasurable Prajñāpāramitā. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Believing in the inferior and with an extremely inferior nature, completely surrounded by inferior companions, if there is no faith in the Dharma that is profound, vast, and well-explained, then it is accomplished." Thus, because of its profundity, it does not become an object of consciousness, so for those who hate the Mahāyāna, one should not abandon the method of embracing them with great compassion. Second, those who possess the wealth of wisdom, how they see the lack of essence in other systems, in that way, great respect will arise for saving those people. As it is said, those who have become the foremost of the noble wealth, possessing the wealth of wisdom, seeing how other systems outside this teaching lack essence, thus those fortunate ones with wisdom, thinking, "This path was taught solely by the Bhagavan," for the sake of saving our teacher, the perfectly complete Buddha, great respect will arise, just as one who is tormented by heat, the more one suffers, the more one's love for cool water increases. Moreover, like this, other systems, even foolish people of low birth, are seen to be confused in crude areas. Thus, the scriptures spoken by the Tathāgata, good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end, like the finest gold, purified by burning, cutting, and polishing, and by the three examinations that are not harmed by one's own words, for the wisdom that is not mixed in the extremely dense Saṃsāra, seeing that the suchness is without any confusion or turbidity, therefore, for the world teacher, the Buddha Bhagavan, who possesses the two lotus feet adorned by the garlands of crowns of all the chief lords of humans and gods, who among us knowledgeable ones would not generate faith that takes practice as its essence, in a way that does not cling to the ultimate meaning? It is reasonable to generate it. Thus, from the correct view, compassion arises for sentient beings, and for compassion, there is also compassion focused on sentient beings, compassion focused on Dharma, and compassion without focus.

Among the three, the most important is the arising of impartial great compassion. Towards the Buddha who teaches this very path, respect arises, and among the three types of faith—initial faith, aspirational faith, and conviction—the faith of conviction, like a king, arises, and the other two also arise as attendants. Irreversible faith is merely the distinction that belief cannot be stolen by opposing forces. Therefore, the root of all white dharmas is faith and great compassion, and if each is present, it is said that all purifying dharmas will also arise. Among all thoughts that focus on the knowable, namely samsara and nirvana, there is nothing better than great compassion for thoughts focused on samsara, and there is nothing better than faith for thoughts focused on nirvana. If these two are present, then these two combined will give rise to the precious bodhicitta. Bodhicitta is known as the single Dharma of the Buddhas. Such conventional bodhicitta, for the individual who has realized the nature of ultimate bodhicitta, becomes inseparable. Because he sees the reality of things without error, free from the stain of self-interest, the thought of wanting to attain Buddhahood in order to manifest reality for beings who are deluded about reality will never regress. Ultimately, the establishment that the two, conventional and ultimate bodhicitta, exist as an inseparable essence is explained in the tantric scriptures. Therefore, by uniting emptiness and compassion, the progression of the grounds and paths is brought to completion. For one's own benefit, the Dharmakaya is attained, and for the benefit of others, the Rupakaya is attained, thus attaining the union of the two bodies. As long as space exists, the activity will never cease, effortlessly, like a wish-fulfilling jewel and a wish-fulfilling tree, granting beings their temporary and ultimate needs as they wish. Although the two bodies are established as being for oneself and for others from the perspective of their relative importance, in reality, they are the Jnana-kaya, the essence of which is inseparable union.
