Thus it is said that the chief of equal dust darkness and heart force is not the nature or chief ultimate truth that the path of seeing is not transformed by eyes etc. All the transformations such as the form that becomes the path of seeing are false like illusion. It is also said that I, the man of knowledge, only want the ultimate fruit. The secret ones think that all internal and external things are knowledge, and regard it as the nature of constant oneness. In their treatises it is said: When the vase etc. are destroyed, how the sky etc. in the vase merge into the sky, so does the life merge into this self. Form and fruit are well spoken, although they are different from each other, there is no difference in the sky, so life is also certain. Like that and so on. What is called form refers to external forms and so on, and the fruit refers to the inner body. In this way, it is impossible for all kinds of internal and external appearances not to merge into the nature of the sky, just as there is no difference in the sky. They think that life or the great self merges into it and becomes one, and the various appearances of purity and impurity are like illusions that arise without existence, like snakes on ropes, like dreams. They say: If I truly know, I will not distinguish at any time, then the mind will be destroyed, because there is nothing to hold on to, there is nothing to take. It also says: Those who understand the limits of the Vedas, like dreams and illusions, like Gandharva cities, see this world like this. There is no destruction and no birth, no bondage and no accomplishment, no desire for liberation and no liberation, this is the ultimate truth. Those who are free from greed, fear and anger, the victors who have attained the limits of the Vedas, the two who have extinguished the play, see this without distinction. So it is said. In short, all of these have not gone beyond the description of the constant self of the nature of only consciousness, as mentioned above, which is not reasonable. Like illusion, and what is said about non-discrimination, etc., only the words of the Tathagata, which are free from all the stains of play, can be established in this way. If it is said according to their reason, then self

It is merely refuting the tenets of other schools. Furthermore, the Madhyamaka doctrine as explained by Khyabjuk (Vishnu) from the "Five Successive Stages" states: "Transcending mere names, abandoning existence and non-existence, surely liberated from arising and ceasing, that is called the son of the wealth god." "In existence, there is no self-nature of existence; in non-existence, there is also no self-nature. Whoever is liberated from existence and non-existence, knowing that is the knowledge of the Vedas." This means that the noble self, such as the knowledge of the Vedas, Brahma, or the son of the wealth god, transcends even mere names. It abandons both existence, such as form, and non-existence, which is the absence of it. It is the eternal, liberated from arising (birth) and ceasing (destruction). Therefore, apart from the nature of that which transcends names, objects such as form have no self-nature because they are false. If an object does not exist, then the non-existence that depends on it also does not exist. Thus, knowing the noble self that is free from both existence and non-existence is knowing the Vedas or Brahma. Again, the Madhyamaka doctrine as explained by Mikmi Zang from the father-son combination of the "Peaceful Adornment" states: "The only son, Brahma, is supremely true; the lord of knowledge is boundless. To say that only he exists, that is also greatly spoken of as a snare." This means, calling him the only son, Brahma alone is supremely true, and everything else is false. He is the lord of knowledge, boundless, pervading everything. However, if someone says that only he exists and clings to how much of him there is, then that is also a cause of bondage. Therefore, it is greatly spoken of as a snare, like a rope. Although these systems verbally explain being free from extremes, in the end, they still rely on a support for the mind, such as the self or Brahma. How can that be the Madhyamaka doctrine? This has already been widely refuted. Therefore, Dzogchen (Great Perfection) is the ultimate, most profound teaching, and it is difficult to understand. If one does not thoroughly cut through the imputations of hearing and thinking, or if one does not possess the key points of the profound instructions, then most meditations practiced by foolish meditators are likely to become similar to this, merely clinging in the heart to a basis that has not realized primordial purity, which is neither existent nor non-existent.
