It is enough to just listen and contemplate! What is the use of merely liking to repeat what others say? Always associate with the appearances of the Guru, the Yidam deity, and the sacred scriptures. Second, the benefit of acknowledging the ability to function in conventional truth. The entities of cause and effect: In conventional truth, it is undeniable, therefore, from all afflictions to complete purification, etc., the various establishments are not confused. Thus it is said. To this, the realists say: If there is no self-nature, then the difference from all afflictions to complete purification, as well as good and non-good, karma and result, dependent origination forward and reverse, inferable and inferer, and the arising of wisdom from sign to signifier, such as producer and product, etc., all knowledge, the characteristics of each cause and effect cannot be established without confusion. In order to eliminate all such evil thoughts and words, this verse was spoken to show the rationality of cause and effect. That is, the entity of the producer cause and the produced effect, this unobstructed appearance of being able to function, exists only in conventional truth, and is undeniable because it is measured and established by the measure of convention. Therefore, the cause and effect of everything from all afflictions to complete purification, etc., the way of following and reversing, all the various establishments remain without losing their own characteristics, because it is shown that there is no self-nature, so these characteristics of conventional truth will not be confused and mixed up at all. If the characteristics of things can be maintained without being lost, then will your and our views be the same? You believe that things are established in ultimate truth as they appear. If so, then from atoms to consciousness, please prove that they are one or many self-natures. And answer the questions mentioned earlier. At that time, if it can be established without harm by reasoning, then we will agree with you, because these things are not false in ultimate truth either, but are of a non-deceptive nature. We also acknowledge this. Or, follow the reasoning we have shown, and admit that these appearances are also false, and we will agree. Otherwise, how can it be said that the views are the same?

Therefore, if one gains a genuine conviction in the emptiness of inherent existence, one will definitely generate an unwavering faith in cause and effect. If it is not like that, but one understands it in a way that cause and effect seem unreasonable, that is not the emptiness taught by the Madhyamaka, but one should know that it is the path of nihilistic views labeled with the name of emptiness, and one should abandon it from afar. As the teacher Nāgārjuna said: Those who do not know the meaning of complete isolation, But only engage in hearing, Those who do not perform virtuous deeds, Those inferior individuals are ruined. The existence of the fruits of actions and The migrations of beings are also proclaimed, The complete knowledge of its own nature and The nature of unbornness are also shown. The victorious ones, lords of the world, Just as they said "I" and "mine," Likewise, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, Are spoken according to their intention. So forth. Furthermore, emptiness is extremely profound and difficult to observe, and as it is said many times in the scriptures, if those with little wisdom understand it in a reversed way, they will go to ruin. Third, in two parts: Briefly showing the arising of pure accumulations, Explaining its manner in detail. First: Thus, these dharmas of cause and effect, Because they are established in this way, All the accumulations are also without defilement, This treatise is suitable. Thus it is said. Thus, through the establishment of the dharmas of cause and effect in the manner of non-inherent existence, the accumulations of merit such as generosity are also the pure path that is combined with the accumulations of wisdom that are free from the defilement of ignorance, and only such a treatise is suitable, and not others such as those who assert inherent existence. That is also, although there is no inherent existence in the ultimate sense, but knowing that the dependent arising of conventional appearances is not deceptive, studying the path, because there is no confusion of the nature of inherent existence in a reversed way, it becomes the nature of purity. To this, those who are attached to objects say: What generosity is for benefiting, And also for offering, The giver has great faith, Not by residing unseen. Is it not perceived because it is non-existent? Or is it because it is not an object? If it is non-existent, merit will be destroyed, The meaning of effort will also be non-existent. The Victorious Ones see all three, Therefore, it is not that it is not an object, One's own mind
