This is also the view of Drakpa. In this context, conventional and ultimate valid cognitions each have their own objects of attainment, and the Mind-Only school excels in conventional designations. Therefore, accepting this view is convenient in terms of conventions and has many other excellent necessities, which will be explained later. Furthermore, this kind of conventional view is not an examination of whether appearances in the ultimate sense are established in the mind or not, but rather a way of measuring these infallible appearances with conventional valid cognition. For example, if one asks whether the appearances in a dream are in the mind or outside, some intelligent people will investigate and analyze, and say that it is not reasonable for it to be outside, but merely a self-appearance. This is similar to how some people confuse the ways of measuring with two valid cognitions, and if they accept a philosophical position based only on appearances without investigation or analysis, one should not think that this is very contradictory to the Prasangika system. Because, here, no matter who asks whether these phenomena are established by their own characteristics, or whether their essence is established by valid cognition, etc., it is important to distinguish the measurer—valid cognition. If it is measured from the perspective of ultimate valid cognition, then like darkness in front of light, it will never be established in its presence, so it is impossible to establish any establishment at all. If it is measured from the perspective of conventional valid cognition, then it is infallibly and undeniably established in its presence. Therefore, no matter how much one analyzes in accordance with the conventional appearances, one cannot use the analysis that proves the existence of past and future lives, etc., from the treatises on valid cognition, as a method of ultimate analysis. In short, there is no Madhyamika who denies this much of commonly perceived objects, and there is no Madhyamika who accepts objects that are inherently truly established. However, due to the different ways of understanding the union of the two truths, there are differences in the methods of establishing the ultimate truth, so one should not judge the superiority or inferiority of philosophical positions based solely on conventional views. Therefore, although there is no explicit addition of the ultimate difference to things like a pot being without inherent existence and being empty, scholars of philosophical systems and conventions will understand it as being within the scope of ultimate analysis based on the specific context. And the pot being established by valid cognition and being established by its own character should also be understood as being within the scope of convention.

it will become like that. Even if the confusion of mutual mixing does not arise, those who are deluded by words, like crows drinking beverages mixed with impurities, although they always cling to their own ideas and only value words, in reality, for words that commonly appear in multiple things, if the distinction of meaning is not considered, it cannot be determined that it only expresses one thing. For example, the term "truly established" is usually understood as being established as acceptable for analysis by ultimate truth, so in most cases it is understood that way. Otherwise, the word "truth" can also be understood as both truths. Similarly, if it is considered merely as the suffix of the word "established," there is no reason why it cannot be understood on the conventional level. Similarly, adding some qualifiers is not impossible to cause misunderstanding, therefore, it is best to easily determine the meaning of terms according to the specific situation, as in the large Indian treatises. Adding qualifiers etc. for the sake of easy understanding is not contradictory, because language is the cause of expressing intention. Therefore, in the treatises, refuting truly established and self-established etc. without distinction, or explaining them separately, etc., in order to prevent people from being confused, each measure has its key to measuring, and if it is not clearly distinguished, merely distinguishing tenets by the superficial meaning of words is extremely regrettable. Therefore, in the stage of subsequent discrimination, the system measured by the two measures must be established without confusion. If there is no distinction, merely analyzing on the conventional level is like going to the analysis of ultimate truth, then, admitting that a person who enters the Mahayana can attain Buddhahood becomes like admitting that it exists in ultimate truth. Even if one says "conventional truth," one will encounter the difficulty of needing to be ambiguous, and it will be difficult to proclaim the conclusion of the establishment of the path and the fruit. If one thinks that saying that a person can attain Buddhahood is only a statement on the conventional level, then, in that way, it is equivalent to admitting the school that separately proclaims the two truths. Through this school, one can also know that the self-nature of things is established merely on the conventional level, and the view of the Mind-Only school is also the same. Someone might say, if that is only admitted to please others and is not one's own view, then, for oneself, in the stage of subsequent attainment, there will be contradictions with the system of the path and fruit and the statement of merely admitting dependent origination etc.
