If we write according to what is said, like this, for a thing like a vase, the definite understanding that it does not exist, and the superimposition of the conceptual thought that it exists, the two are not suitable as what is to be refuted and what refutes on the same object, just like the light and darkness of inside and outside. If it is one object, then is that object established or not established? If that object is established, then the refutable will not be mistaken, because the object is true, just like a valid cognition. If it is not established, then the refuter will not become a valid cognition, just like a superimposition without an object to be measured. Furthermore, some say, on one object, is that object true or false? If it is true, then the superimposition is true; if it is false, then the valid cognition is false. If they say this, because the difference between the existence and non-existence of things has not been made, just a vase that is conceived by the mind of exclusion is the object to be measured, so because the object of clinging is the same, there is no fault of not being suitable as what is to be refuted and what refutes. Because the ways of clinging are different, and they exist separately, it is reasonable to establish them as valid and invalid cognitions. Therefore, the truth and falsehood of the two, definite understanding and superimposition, are also established by whether the way of clinging conforms to the meaning or not, and the object is not grasped as an independent autonomous entity. For example, when the sound of a conch shell appears in the hearing of two people, if one thinks it is permanent and the other thinks it is impermanent, then both of them are grasping the way of clinging that they have grasped themselves, and mixing it with the object, the appearance of the sound of the conch shell, which is a designation, and grasping it, so there is no fault of examining the object of valid and invalid cognition as the same and different. If you can understand this well, then you can also unravel many key points of valid cognition. Furthermore, are the two, definite understanding and superimposition, one or not one in the nature of the mind? If it is one, just like a sword cannot cut itself, it is not suitable as what is to be refuted and what refutes. If they are different, just like the wisdom of the Buddha does not eliminate the ignorance in the minds of other sentient beings, it is also not suitable as what is to be refuted and what refutes. If they say this, it is only one in the continuum of the mind, so it will not be like different continua. Because the aspects are different, it will not be like doing things to oneself by oneself. Furthermore, are these two simultaneous or not simultaneous? If they are simultaneous, that is impossible, because it will be faulted by the simultaneous existence of the two conceptual thoughts of abandoning and adopting. If they are not simultaneous, then they are not suitable as what harms and what is harmed, just like the sunlight and the darkness of the night. If they say this, these two are not simultaneous, so it is impossible to meet. But in the same continuum of the mind, first superimposition arises, and later definite understanding arises, therefore, the continuum of superimposition cannot arise, and it is called the elimination of superimposition.

It is an establishment, all the objects to be abandoned and the antidotes that have become the nature of wisdom are the same as this. The past has ceased, and the present has been established, so it cannot be harmed. The future has not yet arisen, so it cannot be harmed either. Therefore, although the object to be abandoned and the agent of abandonment are not established in a single moment, it is established as the object to be abandoned and the agent of abandonment because it has interrupted the continuity of the object to be abandoned from arising in the future. Some people think that the objects to be abandoned and the antidotes have been together for countless eons, because the wisdom in the continuum of the noble bodhisattvas and the habitual tendencies of the two obscurations have coexisted for a long time. But if we only consider it from the perspective of name, how can it eliminate it if it actually exists together? Therefore, the obscurations in the continuum of the noble bodhisattvas, their respective antidotes and objects to be abandoned do not coexist. How can the subtle habitual tendencies of grasping and clinging to illusion be the objects to be abandoned by other wisdoms of the noble learners? It is the object to be abandoned by the Vajra Samadhi. Thus, the two, definite knowledge and superimposition, This examination of the object and nature in the three times is also a good question, so it is to make the subsequent inferrers understand. This is established as a concluding analysis. The answer to the third debate is the actual answer, and the display of why it would be unreasonable otherwise. First, abandoning the particulars produced by the scriptures, the objects of debate, among the wise and, women and children, for, the things that are famous, these, the objects of proof and the means of proof, will all enter correctly. It is said, "Then, you have promised that all phenomena are without inherent existence and said that they do not exist. If so, then the object to be proven and the reasoning that proves it will become meaningless, because the basis of the object of debate is not established, etc. If you think that you do not state the reasoning for proof, then the meaning will not be accomplished by mere promise. If you state the reasoning, then because there is reasoning, not everything will become without inherent existence, and if so, it will become contradictory. If you think like that, then such a debate is foolish. Like this, whatever is established as the object to be proven, abandoning the particulars of the object of debate that are established or produced by the tenets, that is, not grasping to understand it, among the wise and the unwise, ordinary women and children.
