Due to the unbearable suffering and the ever-increasing desire with the loving heart for all beings, if one could experience the joy of frolicking in the illusory appearance of the world, then the fruit of studying and contemplating the Dharma would also ripen. Therefore, we should also emulate such noble beings, aspire to and follow in their footsteps. As it is said in the conclusion of the self-commentary: "I also eliminated the darkness of faintness by enjoying the pleasures of the world, accompanied by the wisdom of the true noble ones and the true wisdom, wholeheartedly devoted to benefiting others, may the feet of Manjushri, abide on the pure lotus, and be revered with extremely firm reverence." As it is said. In this regard, let's briefly discuss the Yoga Direct Perception that clearly realizes selflessness. Starting from four aspects: nature, classification, meaning of words, and refutation of disputes. First, the nature of Yoga Direct Perception here is: the object, selflessness, appears clearly. And, in general, the non-conceptual, non-erroneous consciousness that arises from meditation is called the definition of Yoga Direct Perception. Secondly, if we classify only in terms of general categories, there are three direct perceptions of Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Great Vehicle Noble Ones, or dividing Hearers and Great Vehicle into two types, Learners and Non-learners, it can also be divided into five types. Because our own school believes that: "Everything relies on the edge of one meditation." As it is said, so Learners are not counted separately. Some schools believe that Learners exist, but they will not exceed the scope of Hearers and Great Vehicle, therefore, here our own school counts Non-learners as one type. These five can also be divided into ten types by dividing Yoga Direct Perception with subsequent appearance and Yoga Direct Perception without appearance in meditative equipoise. Although there is no difference between meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment for the Buddha, it is distinguished from the perspective of knowing reality as it is and knowing all that exists. Among them, appearance refers to seeing with clairvoyance, as stated in the 《Vinaya Treasury》: "Arhats Bairotsana, etc., see two, three thousand and countless." and so on. Non-appearance refers to: Hearers realizing the selflessness of persons, Solitary Realizers realizing half of the selflessness of the form without self-nature, Great Vehicle fully realizing the two selflessnesses, and the wisdom of the Buddha abandoning all habitual tendencies. Third, from the perspective of the meaning of words, according to the Tibetan language, it means that the mind abides in the true meaning, or

It is called Rapa, and direct perception is just clear appearance. In the Indian language, the word for direct perception is "Prati" and "Aksha" combined to form "Pratyaksha." Among them, "Prati" means near or transformed, and has many meanings such as each. "Aksha" is the word for sensory power, so it means relying on each sensory power, or being relied upon by sensory power. This is also from the perspective of etymological explanation. For example, the word "sea-born," for a lotus born from the sea, has both explanation and application; for a lotus born from dry land, there is only application; for a creature born from the sea, there is only explanation and no application. Similarly, the word "Pratyaksha" here, if explained, relies on sensory power, but in application it refers to all consciousnesses that hold self-characteristics. That is to say, sensory direct perception and mental direct perception have both explanation and application; self-awareness direct perception and yogic direct perception only have application and no etymological explanation; for the consciousness of sensory delusion, there is explanation but no application. Fourth, refuting arguments is divided into general and specific. The first is divided into arguing about the cause and arguing about the result. The first is further divided into arguing about the essence and arguing about the function. First, some non-Buddhists say that even with habituation, it is impossible to reach the ultimate limit of clear appearance. Answer: Meditating on the wisdom of realizing emptiness, without separating from the method of habituation, is reasonable. Because one day the ultimate limit of clear appearance will occur. Because one's own basis is stable, and habituation naturally transforms into superior meditation. For example, like the mind habituated to desire and fear. Among them, the so-called "basis of reliance" refers to allocating the previous ability to the later, making the later more superior than the previous, so that the continuum is not interrupted. It refers to not being like the previous one not helping the later one. For this, the reason of the Vaisheshika school etc. is not established. Because there is no previous or later life, the basis of reliance is not established. This statement will be refuted below. After the basis is stable, habituation will become clearer and clearer, just like the mind habituated to desire and fear, which is confirmed by experience. Second, even if it is admitted that there is habituation, the selflessness cannot cause harm to the occurrence of this function. Answer: It can cause harm. Because in this way, if the fruits have no cause, then it is impossible to occur in any way. So, what is the cause of samsara? It's others.
