After bathing, invite your deity and all the Buddhas in the evening, and offer flowers and other offerings and burnt offerings. Protect yourself by tying a thread woven by a girl with seven knots tied with mantras around your left arm. Spread flowers on a cushion of kusha grass, lie down face down, think of the image of the deity in your mind, and recite mantras in your mind, praying for instructions on how to practice. If you can see the auspicious dream of accomplishment mentioned during the preparation stage, you should begin practicing. For all Vidyā mantras, you should increase their splendor through fire offerings. You can use honey, milk porridge, and butter, or sesame and butter, or flowers made with butter, or sardarasa, or fire offerings with butter and soup, which will increase the splendor of the mantra. Alternatively, eat five foods starting with the letter "wa", then place them on the top of a mountain and offer a hundred thousand flowers, which will increase the splendor of the deity. Alternatively, offer fragrant incense and flowers three times a day, which will also increase the splendor. Lighting a lamp with a wooden wick and reciting it three times a day for seven consecutive days will be the best way to increase splendor. Offering good divine food will also greatly increase splendor. Offering flowers, incense, and divine food, as well as butter, sesame, yogurt, and honey, as well as salu rice, high-quality barley food, and butter, recite the mantra a hundred times, and at the end of the burnt offering, also offer offerings, so that the deity of the Vidyā mantra will be satisfied. Alternatively, make an image of the deity with incense, offer it with madali flowers, and then recite it three times a day. Finally, fumigate the image with wooden soup, and place lotus and other flowers in milk. After offering it for three days, offer it again and recite it the next day, and then pour it into a large river, so that the deity will be satisfied. Alternatively, in a new gold, silver, copper, or bronze vase, fill it with flowers, jewels, roots, fruits, grains, and perfume. Tie a new cloth around the neck of the vase, decorate the mouth of the vase with new shoots, and after the holder of the Vidyā mantra or with his own mantra recites it a hundred times, place the image of the Vidyā mantra deity made of gold, etc., decorated with ornaments and clothes, on a throne, and then empower it with that vase and offer it with flowers, etc.

It should also be offered in front of (the deity) through recitation and fire offering. Through this ritual, that mantra will become powerful. These are special methods for increasing the power of mantras and quickly achieving accomplishments, as stated in the "Well Accomplished." Furthermore, if the substances of practice are taken away by the elements, then, as stated in the tantras, one should perform fire offerings of recall, etc. During the practice, if the signs of accomplishment are clearly seen, then one should begin the actual preparation for great practice or accomplished conduct. Even if this is not the case, when the time and number of recitations are completely fulfilled, in order to accomplish the siddhi, there are two stages: the preparatory stage and the main practice stage. First, draw a mandala and place within it the lord of the family and the mother, etc., up to all the deities who obey orders, and make extensive offerings, etc. If there are instructions for fasting, etc., one should also abide in such ascetic practices. The substances for practice are: a wheel made of Urmo iron, the size of a finger, with six or eight spokes, sharpened; or a golden wheel; a sword, the hilt the size of a little finger, the width four fingers, sharpened well, with a guard; also, various weapons such as spears, tridents, clubs, etc.; a vajra made of Urmo iron or gold, silver, or copper, sixteen fingers long, with three points; a lotus made of sandalwood or gold, a span high, the stem made of silver, with eight beautiful petals; a ruby or crystal jewel, with a handle made of gold and silver, one cubit long, placed on top; a beautiful vase of the same material; a crest mudra made of gold, with a handle made of a wish-fulfilling jewel; a peacock umbrella, placed on a long bamboo handle, with ornaments hanging; various items such as well-carved sandalwood with a thumb rest; soft, fine cotton cloth, large pieces, boiled with saffron, ashes of monastery livestock dung, and clothes perfumed with camphor; shoes of Sri Vana wood; and a strong, triple-twisted thread carried for offering, or a well-twisted triple gold thread, possessing qualities; garlands of various flowers strung on thread woven by a maiden; represented by this, various forms of implements such as ropes, etc.
