The children say to the mother: We are yours. The mother also says: You are mine. It's like that. If the first dependent origination is the manifestation of self-nature, and those consciousnesses are causal conditions for each other, then what is the causal condition for the alaya-consciousness in the second dependent origination? In reality, due to the influence of ignorance, etc., actions arise, so it is a causal condition, but also a dominant condition. Furthermore, in the proximate condition, are the six consciousnesses the causal conditions that arise simultaneously? The eye faculty, etc., are the dominant conditions, forms, etc., are the objects, and the immediately preceding condition, etc., arise. Thus, these three types of dependent origination. In this way, the manifestation of the self-nature of samsara, and the second dependent origination of desire and aversion are actions, and the causes of the proximate condition are these four just mentioned. Thus, the alaya-consciousness is distinguished by name and characteristics. If it is not the case for the entering consciousness as it is shown by the name and characteristics of the alaya-consciousness, then if the alaya-consciousness established in that way does not exist, then the three completely defiled ones and the two transcendent ones cannot be purified. If the alaya-consciousness does not exist, then the habitual tendencies completely defiled by afflictions, as seeds, cannot be established on the aggregate of six consciousnesses. If the eye-consciousness that arises together with afflictions such as attachment and near-afflictions ceases, then the habitual tendencies that cause those attachments, etc., as the entity of the seed, will be established on other consciousnesses such as ear-consciousness, not on the eye-consciousness itself. If the eye-consciousness ceases and is interrupted by other consciousnesses such as ear-consciousness, then it does not have the habitual tendencies of attachment, etc. The place of habitual tendencies, the eye-consciousness, is also not visible, because it has ceased and is interrupted by other consciousnesses. Whatever past thing does not exist now cannot arise together with attachment, etc., just as the past karma has already matured and will not produce a different result. The arising of the different result from the past karma arises from its habitual tendencies. The eye-consciousness that arises together with attachment, etc., cannot establish habitual tendencies on the simultaneous consciousness, how is it reasonable that desire arises from the eye-consciousness? For the time being, to desire itself

It is not itself, because desire depends on eye consciousness, and it abides, because it abides in the abiding place, so the reversal of the designation is unreasonable. It is said that self-creation is contradictory. Because one's own continuum is unstable. Some do not abandon it, because consciousness is also unstable. Consciousness is not other ear consciousness, etc., because their places, such as the eye, are different. It is impossible for the desire of eye consciousness to arise and cease together with those of ear consciousness, etc. The eye consciousness itself As for things, eye consciousness is not its own habit, because for one's own things, what is to be designated and what can be designated cannot arise and cease together, because those two do not exist. Therefore, for eye consciousness, afflictions such as greed and near afflictions cannot impose habits. It is also unreasonable to impose it on the consciousness of the eye by consciousness, just like eye consciousness, other action consciousness should also be understood accordingly. 7. Those who have passed away from the upper realm of non-perception and are born in this desire realm, their consciousness becomes afflicted, and initially there is no seed, because the habit of affliction, that abiding place of the six action consciousnesses that are designated, has previously ceased and disappeared, because it does not exist. 7. If the consciousness of the action of abandoning what is to be abandoned by the path of seeing, which is the antidote to afflictions, arises, then it is not that, all other worldly consciousnesses cease and do not exist, if there is no Alaya consciousness, then for the antidote consciousness, it should not have the seeds of afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation and near afflictions, because purity and affliction are contradictory in nature, so it is impossible to arise and cease together. Therefore, where do the seeds of affliction reside? 7. If there is no Alaya consciousness, then when action consciousness arises after the path of seeing, the previous habit, that basis or abiding place, and action consciousness have all disappeared, because it has been a long time, so it does not exist, therefore the subsequent action consciousness will arise from no seed. Therefore, it will arise from no cause And, therefore, by remembering the previously practiced good and non-good and hearing, etc., one can know that the mind stream has not been cut off. Thus, if there is no Alaya, the pervasive affliction of affliction cannot arise. 7. How is the pervasive defilement of karma impossible? Alaya consciousness
